With this quote, what do people mean by New Year New Me? What would you like to change about yourself in the new year?
+1 yIt means if you are not happy with how your life turned out. Then you can do a restart or reset and change your personal habits of the past to something better for the future.
For example. You are overweight and your thighs touch when you walk. People look at you funny like Brendan Frazier's character from The Whale. So guess what? You decide new year, new you. You stop watching TV, you exercise more, learn to cook HEALTHIER so you eat out less, you just basically make better HEALTHIER choices for your self in general. Become the person you always wanted to be in your mind since childhood and no longer be the lazy, procrastinating f**k you are!
In other words, Become Something BETTER! MAKE SOMETHING OF YOUR SELF AND YOUR LIFE! STOP BEING AVERAGE AND BECOME SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU AN INSPIRATION TO OTHERS AND YOUR SELF! DO NOT DO THIS FOR YOUR PARENTS, DO NOT DO THIS FOR YOUR SPOUSE, AND DO NOT DO THIS FOR YOUR KIDS! DO THIS ONLY FOR YOU, AND YOU ALONE!!!
Because at the end of day, only you can make yourself happy. No else can control your happiness but you. Happiness is a choice and you need to choose this for yourself.
So if you are happy with how your life turned out and have nothing else to prove to yourself, then ignore my words and continue to be happy with your current life. But if you are not satisfied or happy with your life? Then what exactly are you going to do make your life better and happier?
Sincerely wishing you the best life for you and a Happy New Year, and a Happy New You! If you dare to be great?
Peace out.00 Reply

+1 yI'm trying to reinvent myself this year. I've been through a lot. I've learned a lot, a lot of good and some bad too. This year is all about setting myself up for the future by looking at myself, asking what matters to me and questioning my own actions and beliefs a little more.
A lot of my mentality has been to really not go out and work on understanding my industry and honing my skills and now I'm trying to focus more on applying what I've been building for all this time and finding more time for friends and family. And just generally spending more time around incredible people. Which is hard because I'm also working on not thinking I'm better than anyone which is a confusing set of ideas for me to juggle right now. Lol
I'm starting a new business this year and hopefully while I sort of work on myself I can still hit my goals.

+1 yI think it’s a positive thing that is generally short-lived. If someone wants to make a new change, it doesn’t need to start on a New Year or on a Monday at the start of a new week. When you reach a place where you’re really ready for growth, it’s most likely not just going to land on a new year.
To those who can keep it going on a New Year, props to them. The best changes for me have been when I’ve decided in the moment to make a change, then I do it. And forgive the missteps along the way but eventually lead to a change change.00 Reply
"Omg guys! New Year, New ME! You know what that means? It means I'm gonna say that I wanna be a different person and change for this new, upcoming year! But what am I actually gonna do? Haha, I'm gonna remain the same ol' sloppy loser I have been every year before this!"
Change takes time and dedication, and I feel many people use this quote loosely. If you really want to change, you don't announce it to the world. You just do it lmao..00 Reply

I have understood New Year and New Me to be referring to a making a commitment to change and improve. Often we resolutely intend to reinvent who we are and what we do with our individual lives.
I hear it every year and it seems to be a way to come out of the winter doldrums as we approach Valentines Day. And, if we get a new boy/girl then the New Year, Me has arrived.
And if not, one tends to acknowledge the Same Me as Last Year….00 Reply
+1 yIts a motivational quote that people tell themselves that they are going to change for the better this coming year. Usually just a rah rah BS thing that goes away after the first two weeks of the year.
00 ReplyI believe they see the new year as a clean break to reinvent themselves.
For me, this new year, I want to stop procrastinating about writing a book and I want to work out more.

00 Reply People who say that tend to think that just because it's a new year they are gonna be a whole new person a new and improved version of themselves they make all these plans, things they wanna do, etc.
But the reality is they never change anything, make improvements or do anything outside of what they normally do. They fall off the ladder ( figuratively ).
00 ReplyLets say it this way. "I have a full written on piece of paper"
*new year starts*

+1 yFor the ongoing constant journey that is life and growth. Personal growth basically and always wanting to be upbeat and growing and learning and changing. Otherwise time stands still unpleasantly so unpleasantly 😋😋😋
00 ReplyMeans they are Going to be selfish and only think of themselves and to make themselves feel better about themselves , Hoping others will notice , but little do they realize nothing is going to change and they are living in a pipe dream
00 ReplyIt just means they want to change with the New Year, knowing damn well they will be the same as they were for the last 5 years.. It takes years for genuine change and even then that's unknowingly..

+1 yStarting the year over with new self improvement plans, like weight loss, travel, finding a job and getting married.
00 ReplyI think it's being dedicated or following down a path of improvement. Most times people are legit about it, not following a trend or idea. From what I've seen before.
00 Reply[Nothing really. For most people it’s just wishful-thinking that they will start all over, on a clean-new-slate. But their optimism is positive and hopeful towards growth.]

+1 yno idea. every 3 years, your body is fully replaced, excluding the heart I hear. So, at minimum every 3 years, you are a new you!

@supercutebutt lol, in the eye of the beholder, but he's a brand new version! But the wiring doesn't change unless one recognizes and decides to change it!!! And most adults "don't want to" 'cause they think they are right.
