Thanksgiving is almost here, so we would like to know your favorite activities that you share with your loved ones for Thanksgiving/Fall Season. Have you made any plans yet? Let us know in your opinions below! Be sure to "like" your favorite ones!

Every single fall, we go on strip to some property up in the great smoky mountains. We always have the fire pit going basically all the time. Then, we get our waders on and our rods and go fly fishing for trout in the streams in the mornings. It’s always such a great escape from the business of regular life. The best part is the views, way up high, with the fog and the autumnal red and oranges and yellows.

This was from a few years ago, the colors are just amazing!!!

I love the long walks through the crunchy autumn leaves with the sun making everything have a golden tint and the rising mists. Then to come home, sit by the fire and play board games together. Or the nights when we walk without any torches to the top of the nearest hill and watch the stars.

I'm having a ball dry brining a small turkey with rosemary from my garden, bay leaves from my cousin's tree and loads of garlic!

Will be buying oysters to make oyster stuffing and turtle meat to make turtle soup... Will be making a squash and penne pasta dish and will make a blackberry, sweet tea and lime-ginger beer (non-alcoholic) punch for everyone at my cousin's house where my son and I are having dinner Thursday afternoon.

Also making peach cobbler with Mississippi peaches that taste SO fresh they are the closest thing to dying and going to heaven! Can't wait to succeed at that. I may add blueberries to the cobbler, now that I think of it. Have the last of some I froze months ago when they were in prime season...

By the way, one can add bourbon to that punch to jzzz it up!

After some brownies, pumpkin pie or other sweet ending after the turkey, oyster dressing, mirlitons (chayotes) stuffed with shrimp, green peas or green beans, mac and cheese, fried turkey also, along with gumbo, (Yes, we're in New Orleans where Creole, Cajun and American cooking meet.) we're all groaning and ready to sleep in front of a game on TV.

Post-turkey comas, football game notwithstanding.

Those not interested in football, or the nap, take a spin around the block, weather permitting, or lounge in the cool, covered outdoor porch and puff a cigar, cigarette or vape and talk politics, love interests and everything else under the sun.

This year a 3-month-old will be passed around like a warm, yowling football to give her mom a rest, since dad is stuck in S. Korea being a U. S. soldier.

It'll be another Thanksgiving where we stand before the meal begins holding hands, and everyone gives thanks for special joys and the fact that an equally wonderful Christmas meal, and the next meet and greet is right around the corner!

Hearth, family and home mean Christmas is our next present.

Fall starts my Christmas shopping, got to find the perfect present for each of my family members and friends. It was much easier when the children were little a box of legos and a coloring book and they were good, now that they are adults it's much harder to find that elusive perfect gift.

Thanksgiving means gathering in my home and my sister cooking a huge feast for us, sitting around the dining table, and eating way too many calories that we will all have to try to work off.

The day after Thanksgiving, it is time to go out and pick the perfect Christmas tree and bring it home to decorate. The rest of the house, inside and out, gets decorated. Finish up the Christmas shopping and start wrapping the many, many gifts that the shopping piled on my closet floor. After hours and hours of wrapping, it's time to put the presents under the tree. Hurry fill the stockings.

Open the traditional Christmas Eve present, which has been a tradition since I was a little girl that I carried on through my children who are now adults. and then it's hurry to bed so Santa can come. Up early to open presents and eat a wonderful dinner.

Honestly just spending time with family on Thanksgiving. I don’t see a lot of them most of the year but that used to be the day everyone got together. Less of my family has gotten together since my pap pap died but that was always my favorite tradition. I am spending this year with my boyfriend and his family in the city he grew up in so I am excited for it.

My stepdad and I go to his friends house and have a big dinner and play games afterwards play a game left right and center with 3 dice for $3 and the one with the last dollar gets the pool, then we all have dessert afterwards that people brought over, it’s nice going over there because we don’t have any whereelse to go except a restaurant since he is a widower and I’m divorced. , It was really depressing when I was alone and nad no place to go and ended up going to Boston Market

Pretty much the standard things, ok after rereading some may not be standard for some people.
We have our traditional Thanksgiving meal at the firehouse on the first Monday in November, because deer hunting is still very popular around here so many are gone for that, getting together with family and friends on Thanksgiving Day as well as yet another Thanksgiving meal with those who are on shift at the firehouse on Thanksgiving, my sister's birthday is close to turkey day, and doing all of the final preparations for the upcoming long cold winter.
Starting after Thanksgiving the area theater chain does old/older Christmas movies on the big screen, I think they are $5.00.
Nothing like seeing your favorite classics on the big screen, so we go with friends to one a week.
The local railroad museum replicates an old time Christmas train with Santa etc. from one town to our town, so the fire department picks him up and brings him up to the village square and they do the tree lighting.
It is packed with kids and adults.
Our subdivision does caroling, a cookie exchange, so all in all it isn't the worst way to start off the holidays.

On Thanksgiving Day, my dad gets ready to smoke the turkey. He soaks it overnight and smokes it the entire day. My mom and my sister do a puzzle together and we all have 3 movies that we watch together every Thanksgiving Day. In the morning, we watch Miracle on 34th Street. As my mom and sister work on the puzzle, my dad will work on the turkey and we watch The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey. Then dinner is about ready. Mom makes the mashed potatoes, the green bean casserole and the stuffing. We always talk about our favorite Thanksgiving memories and we all say what we’re thankful for. Then, as is tradition, we always watch It’s a Wonderful Life and my mom and sister work on another puzzle. While the movie is playing, we always have some kind of pie. It’s either cherry pie or apple pie. Then after the movie is over, it’s pretty late to start anything else. But the next day until Christmas, we start binge watching our favorite Christmas movies and one day, we celebrate my birthday. My birthday hits the 26th of November and most of the time, it comes after Thanksgiving.

I am thinking of of handmade diya decoration. I will use a combination of flowers and diya to surprise her something like this.

Teddy bears have become an iconic symbol of love, comfort, and friendship which makes them a perfect gift but I want to make it something different. I will make it in form of Rangoli design something like this.

My mom doesn’t do a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Instead of the usual turkey and stuffing and cranberry sauce, she does a gourmet grilled cheese bar with so many different meats and veggies and stuff you would never think to add on. She originally did it because she wanted to host a friendsgiving kind of thing where she knew people would have all had the traditional stuff in excess in the days before so she wanted to give them a break and it was a really big hit. We all begged for the grilled cheese Thanksgiving dinners and she loves being able to cook on a griddle and pretend she’s a fry cook (she’s always secretly wanted to work at waffle house just for their griddles). It’s a great time and it’s fun for everyone and I love being able to brag about it every year lol

It's a great time of the year first it's taking the boys out for hay rides, farm fun while searching for that elusive special pumpkin or pumpkins to take home and carve, from that to dressing up and out collecting thousands of calories of candy, with a brief break before the grand Thanksgiving dinner with our entire family. Again another short break and it's Christmas and another morning of the boys getting more things than one should have and that leads into another huge dinner with the whole family

Not located in any of those locations so no award for me thanks.

No Thanksgiving either but I do have fall.

Pick up leaves and pinecones- some I safe for work activity: make coasters with the kids and paint all the pinecones. Rest of the leaves I use to make ton shit of plant super food! -> one of my favourite fall activities.

I make a bunch of chestnut figures and take with me to work - so much fun to do. Fall is also where I start to plan Christmas: what presents the "yulelads" are bringing my mother this year, plan our advents activities and experiment with Christmas cookies and candy - so I can surprise people with something new.

& Most importantly that is where I can really get comfortable and hygge - candles, warm drinks - big knitted sweaters and quality time with people I love.

Plan your Thanksgiving. Write down a list of things you would do if you had a family. If that does not work, then you can look up places in your community or elsewhere to enjoy the holidays around people. You can browse the website LivingSocial: Deals Up to 80% Off: Travel, Events, Dining, Products. and see what you would like to do on a Thanksgiving day, or before this holiday.

If nothing else looks good, then you can prepare a small Thanksgiving just for you, watch holiday marathons, and/or enjoy a good book. Thank goodness for social media. You can make and post what you are doing on Thanksgiving, too. You will not be the only one having a holiday alone.

I from childhood have grown up in Christian school I know a bit about their culture.

Also had a close friend who used to celebrate thanks giving what I understood from telivision thanks giving the way it's celebrated in west world is different than what they did.

A month before of thanks giving we used to goto mostly Christian community houses and used collect clothes for donating and it depended on the family to donate money or not.

Then we used to goto other community and did the same collect things.

Worst part was my friendd house two dogs very dangerous have saved myself from getting bitten they had a range bound but at least I was faster than them lol.

All in all before thanks giving the collected clothing was donated and arranged some food and beverages In the garden of the church with lightings.

There was some prayer they did as far as I remember it was around 12 mins long or something.
