I don't need a holiday for that.

For my 30th birthday, I wished for this present

"donate instead of gifts"

In other words, I asked for a donation to be made to a charity of MY choice instead of buying a present for myself.

This way, I can raise awareness of what is important to me and, on the other hand, I realize that I have everything.

Sometimes it's good to be happy with what you have.

I make donations throughout the year where I think it makes sense.

These are mostly projects related to animal welfare and environmental protection. I support people who want to actively make a difference.

There are a few meaningful opportunities in Germany. And I make use of them all year round.

I used to take children's clothes to a children's home nearby. I also took the toys and things for the household, as the children's families are also supported from there.

I don't save the "charity" for the whole year, but give when I want to support something.

It's not related to Christmas. It is more a way of living.

Temporary cat homes and vet clinics, which help homeless animals, need money to pay bills and buy food and medicines. They also need unlimited amounts of towels and blankets. Donating or organising collections of needed things is required for the whole year.

Yes but it's not due to Christmas. I am generous year round. I use to go and buy blankets from this old man every once in awhile. Usually around Christmas since they are warm and I buy somethings from poor street sellers 😅. I don't want to brag about it. Sorry I shouldn't have told it here

I'm reasonably generous. Around Christmas time is when I make most of my contributions to charity.

I tend to donate a lot of belongings around the start of December each year. I have a clear out of things that I don’t need anymore, that are still in good condition and could possibly help someone else to have a good end of year/Christmas.

I sometimes give to charities. In the past I always gave to the Salvation Army guy ringing the bell. Now they are on my naughty list for being woke.
