Christmas isn't just fast approaching, it's pretty much here. Do you ever keep a bit of cash to the side for your self to take advantage of Christmas sale specials? I generally have barely enough to buy for others, but this year a got an unexpected Christmas bonus and can't spend it fast enough, lol!!!

I always make sure to squirrel some aside in order to buy myself something.

During the holidays when buying Christmas gifts, do you ever buy yourself a little something special?
I don’t even enjoy the gifts I get most of the time. Last year I asked my parents for hummus and they waited over a month to buy it. I’m better off buying it myself. My cousin got our family bailies alcohol but my mother hid it until it expired. This year I asked for guacamole and my dad only got me 3 servings of it. One year I got a radio player but because of wiring problems; only one station is available in my house.
This year I did. I got a new watch, a new phone case and a shirt. I kinda thought to myself I didn't buy much for myself this year so people won't question me about it
Yes. I do. It's not a planned thing though. It's more of an impluse buy. While gift shopping I may see something I like or am curious about and end up buying it for myself. I normally wouldn't buy it during the year.
I don't buy myself things but I also don't completely destroy the budget, either. This year the budget was $100/adult and $50/kid.
My husband's side draw names so I spent $100 on my sister-in-law and $100 on my husband and then there are 4 children in the family (2 nieces and 2 nephews) so I spent $50 on each kid.
And then my husband also spent $100 on the adult's name he drew and $100 on me. We use the same bank account so we planned to spend a certain amount and stuck with it.
if I’m out buying gifts for others and I see something cute that I’d love, my first thought is the person I’d think it’d suit the best… so I get it and give it as a gift. but if I’m out shopping for fun then I’ll buy the things I like for myself, unless it’s something that reminds me of someone I’m close with and I know they’d love it. In that case I buy it as well and give it to them.
Let me tell you this. you have a lover. They made Valentine's Day. to buy him a special gift. You have your parents, their day is different. birthdays are different. They leave you with a constant buying action. Capitalism denies everything it can't sell you. Everything you can think of. because he cannot earn a profit from it.
