What do you get your guy for Christmas when you haven't been dating long?

I've been dating this guy for maybe a month or so, and Christmas is obviously coming up.

I don't know if we should exchange gifts? Obviously, I don't want to buy him something super expensive that is going to freak him out and think things are going to fast, since we both have some baggage (ex's that just don't want to go away) and are trying to take things slow.

But he hinted that he'd gotten me something for Christmas, and I don't want to receive something and not have a gift to give back.

So what's something I could get him that wouldn't be too expensive, but still cool/fun/thoughtful?

He's a writer but I can't really buy him books because he has a Nook eReader and so he buys ebooks. I don't want to get him a gift card because I feel like its too impersonal.

He likes playing Call of Duty but video games are kind of expensive and I'm not really into buying video games because they encourage you to stay in and can waste your time if you play too much (sorry guys).

He has a huge DVD collection, but I can't be sure what he doesn't have.

He loves music but once again, we haven't been dating for very long and I'm not exactly sure what kinds of bands he likes.

He's been really into origami lately, since I guess its therapeutic for him, so I was thinking of getting an Origami kit for him. But I don't know if that would be tacky?

His favorite clothing stores are American Eagle and Pacsun. I thought about maybe getting him some Tom shoes since he wears All Stars and then has these shoes that look a lot like Vans.

He has a belt he wears all the time that is a vintage seat belt. So that gives a little idea of his style.

I dunno. I'm completely blank on what to get him. I don't know what kind of cologne he'd like, and its kind of expensive to get something nice. I don't know if stuff like AE sweat pants or boxers would be lame.

Things he does want have been a $50-$70 video game, and a $200 watch. But I feel like I can't really afford those and it would be too much of a gift anyway.

Just not really good at coming up with gift ideas.

Guys, any ideas? What are some things you've received from girls you've barely dated during the holidays? What did you like, or hate?

Girls, what are some things you've gotten for your guys around the holidays if you haven't dated long?

Any input is greatly appreciated. I just want to give him something he'll like and will play up my "cool girl"/"girlfriend material" ish ness.

Another idea is a couple's massage, since I rub his back and feet all the time to help him relax (he's going to school full time and working, and gets pretty stressed). I'm not sure how much those cost. What do you all think?
