Candy canes usually come individually wrapped in clear plastic.
When you put them on the Christmas tree, do you leave the plastic on or not?

They're a common sight in shops here but they're not a popular tree item. We tend to hang foil-covered chocolates here so I'm assuming most people leave the wrapping on.
I'd imagine they get sticky when exposed to the air and turn into fly traps.
Yes, otherwise you might end up with ants in your 🌲⛄🌲⛄❄️
Don't want tree pitch and pine needles all over the candy!
I've never put candy canes on a Christmas tree.
