Here in Sweden we celebrate it the 24th:)
Another interesting holiday question.
We didn't open presents until after midnight Mass, w hich was always fun to go to. And PACKED with children, adults and all. It was a big deal.
In fact, I think I'm gonna go to St. Louis Cathedral this year as I'm off, and attend the mass, IF I can fit in the door!
It's popular place to go to church in the French Quarter. Gonna check the schedule right now!

Well, the party starts on Christmas Eve, the 24th.
And, when the clock turns 12, it's the 25th... Christmas Day!
We all scream "Merry Christmas!" to each other before we begin passing out gifts.
The party then continues until the sun rises.
I celebrate Festivus.
Here is a Festivus pole (complete with Post-It! notes of grievances) at "Duff's Famous Wings of Orchard Park" (*) in Orchard Park NY. I believe I took this picture on Festivus 2013 while traveling between New England and Missouri.
(*) The tourists get their Buffalo wings at The Anchor Bar.
The locals get their Buffalo wings at Duff's.
Christmas Day. But on Christmas Eve people travel around to family and see their tree, share a drink, and trade presents that are opened at that time or saved for the next day.
In my family, the tradition is that you can open one present on the night of Christmas Eve. And of course for the children, Santa only leaves presents on Christmas morning.

Both. We have a family dinner on the 24th and gift exchange the 25th. We celebrate all season.
We open one present on Christmas Eve, which is always brand new pajamas. And then we celebrate Christmas on the 25th.
In my culture, Christmas Eve dinner is the most important part of Christmas, so 24th for me.
24th as well... and we keep the celebration going all the way to the 25th, lol
25th. It's on a Monday this year. Next year it'll be on a Wednesday.
We do the traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve. Then we celebrate Christmas with opening presents
In the UK and many other countries, the main celebration takes place on Christmas Day (December 25). According to the Christian origins of the holiday, this day marks the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas Eve (December 24) is the time for last-minute shopping and preparations, present-wrapping, and maybe a drink in the pub. Of course, we have Boxing Day, so the celebrations don't really stop until after New Year's Eve.
In my country we celebrate everything on the night of the 24th, the 25th is for recovery and rest haha
Christmas Day according to the Bible is the day Jesus was born, commonly considered the 25th of December. But who really knows what day it was thousands of years later? We accept the December 25 date. But Christmas is not over then. There are 12 days of Twelvetide in Christianity, which are the days between the birth of Christ and the arrival of the Three Wise Men on January 6th, which is known as Epiphany. The celebration of Twelvetide gave rise to the song The Twelve Days Of Christmas.
We usually celebrate in on Christmas eve (24th) but this year it'll be on the 25th.
