+1 yIt's a pagan holiday. In 325ad Constantine was converting from paganism to Christianity. But he didn't want to fully convert over nor have his Roman citizens fully convert from paganism to Christianity. December 21st is the winter solstice. Jesus's birth was in the spring sometime around April or may but got moved to December 25th to coincidence with the winter solstice a pagan holiday. The true birth date of Jesus is unknown but believed to be around April or may 7bce to 5bce for approximation. The Christmas tree is really a pagan tree and the star on top of the tree is really a Jewish or pagan symbol since Jewish religion like king David and king Salomon used stars as their symbols. Christianity is really paganism just spun in certain ways to fit their own narrative. The Christian stories are really pagan stories just spun slightly different to make Christianity it's own unique thing

+1 yWhy is this going to be the last Christmas you’re going to be celebrating? Please don’t tell me this has anything to do with being Pentecostal. I’m beginning to think you’re in a cult.

Sure I wasntold by ministry that it isna pagan holiday that it is best to celebrate it that no one knows exactly the date baby Jesus born perhaps I should listen to you and give your church a chance.
- +1 y
It’s true. No one knows for certain. April is what a lot of scholars think.
What difference does it make? We’re celebrating the birth of our Lord. It would be nice if we knew the exact date, since we don’t we went with Dec 25. What could be wrong with celebrating the birth of our savior? - +1 y
Nothing perhaps some christian want to stay accurate to what the bible says.
- +1 y
That’s always a good idea, but if we got his birthday wrong it doesn’t mean it’s a pegan holiday.
- +1 y
Sir I just dont want to burn in hell when I die. My friends keep telling me its a pagan holiday. Im scare to diendoing things the Lord does not approve off.
- +1 y
You are saved by grace through faith.
What we all need to do is carefully examine anything anyone says about the Lord and similar subjects and see if they square up with scripture.
What is so pegan about Christmas? We’re celebrating the birth of our Lord. How is that pegan.
What we’re discussing here is why I do not like Pentecostalism. They tend to over spiritualize everything.
Let’s just say for the sake of argument Christmas is really a pegan holiday. Is that what you’re celebrating? Are you celebrating a pegan God? No? Then it’s not sin. You’re celebrating the birth of our Lord.
I understand your fears. You want to be obedient to God. If you belong to God truly, you will never find yourself in Hell.
I’d like to have a serious discussion with your friends about this and wearing jeans being a sin and a litany of other things. I’d like to talk to your pastor about legos and Spider-Man being sin. All of this sounds very cultish to me. It’s sounds very much like the legalism of the Pharisees.
Don’t let people add things to scripture on you. Makeup is not sin. Jewelry is not sin.
What does your husband say about these things?
There was a pegan Roman holiday celebrated near the time of Christmas called Saturnalia. It was on 12/17 - 12/25. No praise or worship is being directed at Saturn. Therefore the intent is right and not sin. If you’re worshiping Saturn I’d say there’s a problem. Since you’re not, disregard.
What does your husband say of these things? - +1 y
I thought you were going to a Baptist church initially. I could see the Pentecostalism creeping into your theology about 1.5 years ago. All of this that you’ve been saying is seriously concerning to me. This is why I warned you to stay away from Pentecostals and Charismatics.
I ran into some in my early 20’s. They are completely deranged. Trying to tell me I’m not saved if I don’t speak in tongues because that’s the evidence of being saved. Trying to tell me demon possession could occur from shaking hands with a demon possessed person. Trying to tell me the soul lays dormant upon death instead of immediately going to Heaven or Hell.
I’d almost be inclined to say they aren’t even Christians, but I’ll leave that judgement for the Lord.
I do believe both groups are cultish and unbiblical to massive proportions.
All of this nonsense: not wearing makeup or jewelry, not wearing pants only skirts, Christmas is a pegan holiday, legos are sin, Spider-Man is sin. It’s all garbage. I’m telling you now. Why is it these people are the only ones with these Crazy beliefs? You don’t see other Christians saying this stuff right?
I’ll tell you this, you’d sooner end up in Hell for saying all that than not! These people are adding to scripture and have 0 basis for doing so. All of this is legalism just like the Pharisees.
They make pants for both men and women. It does not matter if they were originally designed for men. They make ones for women. Therefore this not some bizarre connection to cross dressing. Pants are for both men and women.
What of the Scots? Will they be in Hell for wearing skirts (kilts). It’s culture that defines what is attire for men and women. Culture has dictated long ago that pants are appropriate to the female sex.
I’m really worried about you with all this. - +1 y
Look at the Roman’s. Their soldiers wore what are essentially a skirt. I didn’t hear Jesus condemning them for that!
- +1 y
Next you’ll be telling me it’s a sin to have sex in any other position but missionary. That’s another good one I heard from the Pentecostal crowd.
- +1 y
My husband he is a member of Apostolic pentecostal chruch but my husbad does come from a catholic back ground. Sir Scottish guys wearing skirts isn't a sin it shows pride for their country the Lord decided for Scottish guys to be born in Scotland. Nothing worng. I was attending a Baptist Chruch at first at the time when you were teaching me the bible. You see I was alone at the hospital when I had just given birth to my youngest son. I went this lady at the hospital. I was about to get depressed but its like the Lord abswer my prayers. This lady invited me to er chruch very sweet kind lady. That's when I was introduced to Apostolic pentecostal.
- +1 y
Sir Romans thats different thats how people used to wear back at that time.
- +1 y
Yeah I was told its a sin too.
- +1 y
Yes Sir you did tell me to not join. But the lady told me thier is a possibility Janet is a witch and that she will burn in hell. Out of nowhere Sean decided to live meandmy kids like cold turkey cheated on me and left me for Janet. What if Janet did sorcery on shawn?
- +1 y
Sean sorry this spell check gets all crazy
- +1 y
Amother example look how horrible the people 8n the world are. Look what happen to you look at me for example. That isn't a happy life. Pentecostal woman honnor their husband they cover everything and wear skirts it shows respect look at worldly woman how they dress they are practical walking naked they will burn in hell the day they die.
- +1 y
It’s not a sin any other position.
So you see that both the Scots and Romans.. even thought they wore what would be a skirt in our culture, it’s ok. Because culture dictates what is appropriate attire for each gender. In their cultures that wasn’t considered cross dressing.
The same is true with pants. We have pants styled for men, and pants styled for women. Our culture has decided it’s appropriate garb for women to wear pants. No different than the Romans or Scots.
Now there is definitely a limit. Now some in society want to say it’s ok for boys to wear dresses. It’s not. Nothing wrong with women wearing pants though.
She didn’t place a spell on him. He cheated because I think he only loves himself. Witchcraft wasn’t required. He’d have done this without such an influence.
Yes, women are no longer dressing modestly. This is a problem.
- +1 y
What does your husband think of all these things?
- +1 y
“All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.”
1 Corinthians 10:23 KJV
Lawful - meaning keeping within the realms of what God has decreed. All things are lawful except what God has called sin…. but not everything is expedient. Meaning not everything is a good idea.
So is makeup lawful. Yes. What about women wearing pants. Yes. What about sex doggie style. Yes. What about jewelry. Yes. What about celebrating Christmas. Yes.
If you can name it and find there is no sin God has attached to it, then it’s not sin.
But is it profitable? Can I listen to gangster rap. Yes. Why would I though? I don’t want to hear all that cussing and rapping about murder and pimping and hoes and the like. Therefore it is not profitable to listen to it. It’s is not expedient. It does not edify. It does not make me a better Christian or better person.
Can I eat pie? Yes. As much as I want? Yes. What if I eat as much as I want? I’ll get fat. Therefore it’s not expedient or profitable. I’ll have one slice. What if you have 2 slices? Is it sin? No.
Do you see how this works? If Paul said nothing is unlawful, that is noting is sin (except what is written in scripture and defined as sin) how then can anyone tell you the things I mentioned are wrong? They can’t and be biblical. At that point they’re adding their own laws to God’s word.
1. No make up
2. No non missionary position sex
3. No jewelry
4. No women in pants
5. Legos are sin
6. Spider-Man is sin.
All the above is called legalism. That’s exactly what the Pharisees did. Add all these commands and list all these things as sin that God did not say are sin. To place such burdens on such people is sin.
Can I watch a rated R movie. Sure. Can I watch a rated X movie? No. Why? That falls under the lust of the flesh and is sin. What about the rated R movie? No. What if you don’t want to watch a rated R movie due to violence or cussing? That’s ok. - +1 y
What if you tell me I can’t watch a rated R movie. Then you’re sinning. I like a good action film. I can ignore the cussing without leaving the theater and using obscenities. I don’t like hearing it, but I already hear it all day long at work. Shall I quit my job also?
You see my point here. I think these people are placing burdens on you and calling things sin that aren’t. That’s called legalism and legalism itself is a sin. It’s adding to what God said.
Sometimes we need to add to what God said. Is it a sin to drink? No. Is it a sin to be drunk? Yes. What if you’re an alcoholic, can you have just one drink? No. Why because you can’t control yourself when it comes to alcohol, and scripture tells us to have self control. So for you it is a sin to drink. What about me? It’s a sin for me to drink around you if you struggle with temptation. There is liberty in Christ but liberty is not to be used when it causes yourself or your fellow Christian to sin.
Does all this make sense? - +1 y
My husband he is a member Apostolic pentecostal. I love cheesecake but yes it is a sin if I eat way more then ehat I need to.
Make up is a sin who wear make up Jezabel. Infact for a reason they name that one cosmetic store sephora thatsa name of a demon.
Ok yousee my point why woman need to dress in dresses and skirt because of todays fashion a lit of Jezabel woman are breaking marriage. Rated R movies and X movies are demonic. Now what if a demon follows me from a the movie theater all because I became disobedience and watch a demonic movie I wasn't suppose to. - +1 y
This ^ ^ right here it's all CORRECT!
Marlene please pay attention on this ☝️ - +1 y
- +1 y
@always
By your logic eating cheesecake ever is a sin as you certainly do not need to eat it ever. Why not just live like John the Baptist and eat only honey and locusts? Since you do not need cheesecake then it’s always a sin to eat it. It is not necessary to sustain life. It’s self indulgence and self indulgence is sin. It’s you merely pampering your flesh giving it the sugary sweetness it craves rather than only the nourishment to sustain life. After all, God didn’t give you taste buds to self indulge. In fact you should only drink water from now on. No other beverage is required to sustain life and you certainly don’t want to be guilty of pampering and indulging your flesh right?
Does that sound rational? Of course not! That is called legalism. - +1 y
Cheesecake can couse deabetes anyway.
- +1 y
People drink partying and living a disorganized life style living worldly ways. there's no othernway to happiness living christian sanders. Sir but you said men are the head ifnthe house hold andnwoman are to hinnor their husbands but you insist that its okay forbwoman to wear pants and make up all that stuff can couse cheating.

Sir with all respect I will have you and your family in my prayers. With all honesty I felt free from all of my past life. Sir the spiritual world is real. Please explain why did I had a special encounter with Jesus? You know about my dream I told you about a few years ago. It felt so real. Jesus revilve himself to me. I feel happy now I used to have the demon of hateband anger hecause ofnmy past life. I personally believe you need to be set free your ex wife I think shecould have possibly being a witch. If she was capable of cheating on you andlying what makes you think she wants a satanist or a witch?
- +1 y
Now as a christian I amnlearn thisnthings. Look how horrible this planet has become that us as christian we hadto consider homeschooling thanksnto the demonic garbage public schools want to teach. Look at wordy woman today all of them are gold diggers , miney hungry demon look hownfar fashion has become.

- +1 y
I had the anger spirit and for some reason it did not what to live me alone. Now after my divorce I cry fasted pray to the Lord to put a christian devoted christian husband and thats what happen.

But at the end of the day though, there is no sense in following a churches teachings if they cannot be biblically supported.

She wasn’t a satanist or a witch. She was simply a prideful and arrogant and entitled person. People like this exist everywhere apart from witchcraft.
You are a Christian. You could not have had a demon in you and Christ in you at the same time. - +1 y
I believe that those who are unsaved are supernaturally influenced by Satan, and Satan actively keeps them from being able to understand the truth.
“And you were dead in your offenses and sins, in which you previously walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.”
Ephesians 2:1-2 NASB2020
“And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they will not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 NASB2020
I believe Demons do influence political policy and government and those in positions of leadership. I do believe they harass us and use others to harass us.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:12 NASB2020
I do not believe people are afflicted by the smoking demon or cursing demon or demon of hate or the drinking demon or the whatever demon. Scripture no where indicates specific demons have “specialized” talents to focus on one sin. I believe all of mankind is fallen due to sin and those who are unredeemed have to choice but to be in sin. They are slaves to sin and therefore do what sinners do. It has nothing to do with demons influencing them, rather they just do what sinners naturally do.
I believe demons and Satan can do nothing to the child of God without God’s permission per the first 2 chapters of Job. I believe if they were allowed to do what they pleased without having to get God’s permission first the would would have been void of human life long ago. Therefore if demons cannot do anything to the Christian without God’s approval, giving them more credit than they - +1 y
Are do is unbiblical and bordering on sin.
I believe Christians however are under the jurisdiction of God.
“¶The steps of a man are established by the Lord, And He delights in his way. When he falls, he will not be hurled down, Because the Lord is the One who holds his hand.”
Psalms 37:23-24 NASB2020
“looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12:2 NASB2020
You give far too much credit to demons and not enough credit to the fallen nature of man. Most people don’t even need demonic influence to sin. They will do it all on their own with no help from Satan at all.
I do not believe there is a demon behind every tree and every bush.
I do not believe Christians can be demonically possessed. I do not believe they can even be demonically influenced apart from God willing it. I do not believe demons can enter the life of a. Christian unless the Christian invites them in specifically by seeking to commune with them.
Have you ever considered that maybe you were angry with your ex husband because he cheated on you? That it would be totally normal and human to feel that way. That anyone would. That maybe it has nothing to do with demons?
If you want to go around binding demons and believing they are around every corner that’s up to you. Just know if they were not restrained by God they would crush you like a moth in less than a second.
If you want to believe makeup and jewelry and women wearing pants and not having sex in any other way than missionary position, and Legos being sin and Spider-Man being sin…that’s up to you. I believe none of it and there is no biblical basis for it.
If you want to believe women wearing pants and makeup are the cause for adultery and fornication and not the fallen nature of man and not a lack of discipline for those who are Christians that’s up to you - +1 y
I don’t believe in any of that. As I said I believe the fallen nature of man already is quite sufficient to cause people to sin.
Here is the cause of sin:
“But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it has run its course, brings forth death.”
James 1:14-15 NASB2020
When we are carried away by our OWN lusts, not those put in our minds by demons. The problem is inside us not outside us. - +1 y
