How much do you care about Christmas?

I don't really care about it, just like it for the food, presents and all sales that go on. I grew out of the Christmas movies and songs.

Family and friends gatherings, traditions, which build the spirit...

I care a lot. I cherish this time and people I can reunite with 🎄

On one hand, I like Christmas for the fact that the entire family gets together to celebrate. It is one of the few times in a year where the entire gang gets together and we can reminisce about the times where everything was pristine in our child's life and when we were more interested in the presents we received than to be together.

Now that the family is dispersed in the 4 corners of the country, Christmas is one of the few time where we get to see everyone for a few days.

My perception of Christmas is now different than when I was a child and I do realize that most people don't really know or care about the meaning that Christians place on Christmas. It has become a scam where it is more important to look at the mercantile aspect of it, just like Easter. Days where merchants want you to spend as much money as possible without thinking too much about the real meaning.

This year, Christmas is especially sad because I think of all those victims of the wars going on in Gaza, Ukraine and everywhere else where conflicts dominate and where invaders and terrorists don't care how many casualties they cause, mostly among the elderly and children. It is a sad Christmas, once again.
