Have you ever been on holiday by yourself?

Holiday as in travelling to a foreign destination, possibly overseas, and make all travel arrangments yourself, with no-one else to rely on? What were the benefits and inconveniences of travelling alone? And how long did you go for?

I've been on a 3 week holiday in Japan, but it was intermixed with a one week stay at a friend's house.

Since 2021 I only go on holidays by myself and would never change it. I only have positive experience with that way of taking my holidays.

I can do what I want, whenever I want. I can see what only I want to see. I go at my pace and don't have to drag anyone behind me that has different plans and/or schedule. I can visit museums at my own pace and don't have to rush to meet the requirements of a partner.

I don't like beach holidays as they are boring. Thus I concentrate my holidays to places that I chose.

I never go out at night nor do I go to places that are unsafe for single women and I definitely will go on holidays alone in the future. There are absolutely no inconveniences but only positive aspects of going on holidays alone.
