When did you find out that Santa Claus is just a tale?

How old were you when you realized that Santa Claus is just a guy paid to dress up in a funny costume, and that all those presents under the tree were bought by your parents? And who told you? In my case, it was an older sister who spoiled it for me. Too eager to tell what she had found out.

I know, but he was not the way he's pictured nowadays. I was referring to the figure who is said to bring kids presents on the night of December 24th.
