i was 7, and noticed the santa decorations. so i asked what is that? pa said christian believe in fake santa.
so i found out.
meanwhile he proved tooth fairy real because i didn't wake up when fairy put money under my pillow. must be magic.
i believed n argued with classmates until age 9. finaly another tooth fell so i didn't tell my parents. the tooth fairy did not know.
then i told my parents.
the could've said "you old" but lied. i said, "actualy it came out yesterday no tooth fairy."
they argued "we need to tell the fairy". lol.
Wow…lol
I caught Santa in bed with my mother, on Christmas morning, and he still had his Santa hat on! ! I lost all confidence in Santa after that, AND he not only ate the cookies and drank the milk ! Well, you get the picture? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤦♂️😒😒😂
I was only 5 at the time... but... I had an idea?
Lmao…
I always knew he wasn’t real. We learned about Santa from school and television. We knew he wasn’t real, but it was fun believing in the possibility, lol.
Even with the tooth fairy, my parents would give us $1. We knew it was them and not the tooth fairy, but it was still fun talking about the existence of the tooth fairy.
i remember as a child that an elf ran under my leg. it had a big horn on its head but i just figured it was normal. so while i sit on santas lap i feel a lot of commotion under my nethers.
i thought about screaming out and tellin me maw, but it kind of felt good.
9 or 10. My classmates already knew about it being not real, but they were hiding it from me, so I’d keep believing and being happy.
Cute….
Don’t remember. But I think that parents shouldn’t tell their kids he is real. When kids find out they’ve been lied to all this time it plants the seeds of distrust. Lying to a child about things is great way to ruin a relationship later in life.
What is this madness you speak of foul temptress!
Yeah…you should accept the truth…lmao..
Those cookies I put out aren't eating themselves. Just ask the mice if they've ever seen a self-eating cookie?
Lmao..
I was about 6. I overheard some older boys talking about how they saw their dad sneak down and put presents "from Santa" under the tree.
What a sad thing…. lol
I think I was 6. I remember when I was 7 I told my cousins there was no such thing as Santa Claus and they started crying, and they were 9 and 10
Why did you do that…lol
We had one of those trap doors that went up to the attic. Ny mother had pulled it down and I saw some Christmas presents. I thought it was too much of a coincidence that it was the same stuff that Santa left for me. I might have been 5 or 6.
I never believed in it in the first place. Always knew they were fairytales :D
Smart boy…
Haha :D
I had that figured out by the time I was 5 or so. We never celebrated that crap anyway.
could not tell you but not even sure i ever did believe in him
bru I’ve seen a Mexican and Dominican Santa 😭
They are fake…lmao..
2, I was told about santa and immediately thought it was made up and started asking how and why until I confirmed it was nonsense.
I didn't know he actually lived in Turkey :)
I was 5-6 years old and I saw my dad dressed as Santa 🎅 and I thought that he made it up
WTF Santa isn’t real?
Yeah…finally the truth is here…lmao
Thanks for raining on my parade & now the real mystery is who has been eating my cookies.
👀👀
I was 10 I think. But I have always encouraged belief in Santa, I think he represents a lot of good
He isn't? Damn!
I am in shock…. lmao..
WHAT? He's not real? How DARE you! ;- )
Lmao…
From the NY Sun, 1897, in response to Virginia's question about Santa being real.
"Virginia, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.
Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no Virginias. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished."
Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.
You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, Virginia, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.
No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood."
Why would you do that?
Because eventually you will know…lmao..
I did the math when I was five or six.
Santa isn't real? 😱
Yeah… can you believe it…. lmao..
