Should I stay or leave immediately?

So, I met a guy online, and we got intimate immediately on the first day. I enjoyed his company so much. We had two dates in one week, and then he left for South Africa to visit his family two days after our second date. He stayed there for three weeks. As soon as he left, I didn’t hear from him for two weeks.

Out of the blue, he messaged me on Christmas Day and continued sending messages and photos every other day. He arrived back on January 3, but I haven’t heard from him since then (it’s now January 5).

What do you think i should do? And i want to understand a guy’s behavior.
