I’m 24 there's a guy who’s around my age who works a different shift than me so I never really get to see him. We happened to work the same shift once and he introduced himself. His name is Michael.
A male colleague of ours threw a holiday party yesterday and Michael wasn’t there. One of my female friends at work is close to him and is trying to set me up with Michael. He’s not my usual physical type but I find him very cute and nice and sweet and everyone says he’s a great guy.
The other day Michael came by our job after a standard work Christmas party which I couldn’t go to because I was at work to talk to a couple of his friends.
While there I didn’t think he was going to talk to me but then he came out of a nearby room and was like “hey Stacy I didn’t see you there. How’s your night going?” And small talked with me and then started another small talk convo with me while there. He eventually was like “well I’ve overstayed my welcome” and smiled and motioned bye and I smiled and waved bye also.
The next day I was scrolling through LinkedIn when I got a notification that he viewed my LinkedIn profile. This was about a week ago. The party was yesterday and he wasn’t there. I asked the guy who hosted the party if Michael was going to be there and he said he told he was and tried texting / calling him but he didn’t answer. Michael didn’t know if I was at the party or not because we didn’t talk about it.
I was upset because I was going to use the party as an opportunity to finally talk to Michael more. I accidentally viewed his LinkedIn profile too yesterday at the party while showing a friend so he probably got that notification lol but I’m not sure.
I kinda want to get the ball rolling and I don't know how he feels and I want him to make the first move so I was thinking about tomorrow going back and adding him as a connection on LinkedIn? Should I? Or is that too forward since he viewed my profile a week ago and let him figure out something?
