Have you ever experienced vandalism to your property?

Question

I was vandalized last night , my car has slashed tires and my Christmas decorations were all cut up of course this happens when I am tight on cash cuz of lovely Christmas , I had the police here this morning to file a report and I called my home owners and car insurance to see if they can help me , I have no clue who would of done this to me and I am kicking myself in the ass for not having my Ring cameras on , so there isn’t much that can really be done , I’m hoping my home owners will cover it

A number of times.
When I was in my early teens, I had the misfortune of associating, for a short while, with this crazy kid, Jack Gadar. I eventually broke off the friendship because he was too psychotic and was gonna get me into lots of trouble or would've tried beating me up for no reason at all. A couple years later, we got a built-in pool in the back yard. One day, while wandering through the alley near my house, he spotted the pool and decided to pick up a few rocks and wing them over into the pool. Dad either caught him or found out who was doing it and had a few terse words with him. We never saw or heard of him again.

A few years later I'm in the cafeteria in high school during study hall just minding my own business far away from anyone else in the cafeteria. I had a stack of albums with me (in the book store, there was a stereo set up where we could bring in our records and have them play them in the book store and they'd be heard in the cafeteria over extension speakers in the ceiling. Also, the print shop teacher had a stereo set up in his class with extension speakers set up in the ceiling of the dark room.)
All of a sudden, some kid walks up to me, up to that point, I didn't even know he existed!! He tells me that I owe him a quarter and he wants his quarter back. I don't owe him anything more than a dirty look!!! I refuse the quarter, he insists I give it to him, this soon turns to yelling, which then turns to fighting! Eventually, a teacher or something breaks it up and takes ME to see the principal about the fight but made me leave my stuff on the table!! After about 20:00 with the principal, I get sent back to the cafeteria and find that someone scrawled profanity all over the cover of one of my albums!! I immediately take them all back up the principal to show him the kind of shit I have to deal with and to further prove my point that I wasn't the cause of the fight! First, he tried to erase the scribblings but, they were in pen so, no amount of erasing would get rid of them, the cover was completely ruined!! So, he got a strip of 4" wide medical tape from the nurse's office next door to put over the scrawlings so I wouldn't have to see them but, of course, that only made the cover even worse!! Years later, I had to go buy another copy.
Now, that kid is the mayor of the next town over!!

Shortly after I joined my band in 1980, we played a gig a few blocks away from the house where we rehearse and, as we just played a 4-hour gig and were kinda tired, we asked if we could leave the stuff there overnight and pick it up the next day. The owner said we could so, we did.
We all met up around noon the next at Charlie's 10c Saloon to pick up our gear only to find that someone had removed it from the stage and put it near the door. Carsickness, the band that was gonna play there later that night, was already there setting up their shit! They had the HUGE white parachute that they attached to the walls behind the stage and sprawled out all over the ceiling of the entire room! Well, I didn't much like that they moved my drums but I wasn't gonna bitch much about that and started taking them apart to get them into the car. As soon as I stepped up to start taking them down, this girl ran up from clear across the room, stepped up onto a chair that was conveniently placed between my drums and the wall, she had some kind of cable in her hand and looked as though she was gonna attach it to something on the ceiling right next to my drums. No sooner did she step up onto the seat of the chair with her hands over her head when she fell backwards directly onto my bass drum and smashed it!! I'd never dealt with these assholes before so, I had no idea what lengths they'd go to to fuck up some other band!! But, I'd heard stories!! I was more concerned with her well-being than my drums at this point and tried to be helpful to her but she just said she was okay so, I went back to my drums and saw the mess I was left with. She, however, never went back to what she was doing!! So, was it necessary for her to do whatever it was or was that just an excuse to allow her to smash my drums?
Over the next few days, I was told by my singer that he discussed the situation with their leader and they agreed to pay for the drum. Another few weeks later I was told that they REFUSED to pay for it because it shouldn't have been there in the first place!! But, when I left it, IT WAS ON THE STAGE!! THEY'RE the ones that put it where she fell on it so that put it back on them!! But, they still refused to pay!!

yes should be covered, excluding deductible.

Skip Christmas, take an uber or get a ride?

Can see if a local shop has used tires.

So many are a paycheck from being broke, it's sad.

Unfortunately I hate to say it but its likely a neighbour. Watch as is usually the case the perp will return to the scene of the crime and by that i mean the person responsible will approach you or bump into you to gauge if you suspect them and to see how much upset they've caused you.

Seen it before. There was a girl at my school spreading horrible rumours about me and even nude pics of me in the shower. Shed put chewing gum in my long hair, put laxatives into my tea. Start trouble for me with other girls that would get me assaulted. Fake social media accounts bullying me or pretending to be me. She told a boy I like that I liked rough sex and choking etc that resulted in a sexual assault. Its crazy when I think of all she did and there was no real reason for it other than she got off on it.

A very stoned woman managed to intrude into our fenced front yard then completely undressed herself on our front driveway and scattered her clothes on our front lawn before running away.

Our security cameras caught a lot of her antics and so did those of our neighbors which led authorities to her easy capture within our neighborhood since she was just living here in our community too.

Fortunately for her, none of us pressed any charges after we learned she wasn't truly intending any harm and since she's a new neighbor who got so stoned that she claimed she wasn't aware that she did all that.

Meanwhile, my commercial properties (domestic and abroad) have seen their shares of graffities and drunk urinations.

I have had my car tires slashed twice.

My caregiver stole almost all of my belongings on moving day so I had to buy things AGAIN that I really couldn't afford.

In my State if you call the police they don't come out anymore. You have to make a report online, which I did, and they screwed it up, so no charges were ever brought up against her.

Don't forget that we have to pay for our deductible when using insurance. Mine is $500, which I couldn't afford.

Yes, several years ago I came out of my apartment to get in my car and go to work, and all the tires were missing. The police weren't much help, only providing a report for my insurance company. The irony is that they were cheap tires, and well worn.

I went into a new Walmart Neighborhood Market in an ethnically mixed area. I wore an original Deplorables T-shirt. I was seen walking to the entrance. When I came out, someone had keyed my trunk lid. I don't think it was random.

Some time later, the store was permanently closed. I'm thinking that shoplifting got the best of it.

Depends on how you have your auto and home insurance set up you may have to pay out of pocket first and then file for reimbursement and/or they may only cover a certain amount based on how insurance goes.

Good luck and good at getting a PD report ASAP.

I've had some property damage but not quite like that.

Sorry this has happened to you or anyone except for trump followers. It does create issues for sure. I would like to know what your auto insurance said about the tires. Then with the decorations that were destroyed I doubt your deductible would exceed the cost of the decorations

Vandalism usually centres on my car: paintwork scratched, tyres mysteriously deflated. Since I have no enemies in the real world it can only be mindless extremism. Sorry to hear about your troubles, it's a kick in the teeth.
