Ten of my Favorite Wedding Movies

I am mainly just going to list them but a couple of things of importance, Juila Roberts shows up two times :) Steve Martin makes an appearance, there is a John Hughes movie, and number 2 and 8 are some of my favorite comedies of all time. These are all ordered by year and I hope you enjoy the list!

I liked most of them

My best friends wedding was good but made me sad she didn't get him but it would make me sad If he broke up with his girl. There wasn't an easy win win in that one.

I loved brides maids. That was SICK and so funny.

This is a great compilation of wedding movies! I see several that I love☺️ There are three that I have to add because they are also in my top:


1: The Hangover
2: What Happens in Vegas
3: Crazy Rich Asians (that wedding scene is so gorgeous!)

I've only seen 8/9/10 and only liked Bride Wars. I preferred
Wedding Planner, 27 Dresses, Bride Wars, Ever After, The Best Man, Best Men (diff movie), Hitch, License to Wed, Little Mermaid, When in Rome, Monster in Law, Princess Diaries 2, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Rugrats in Paris, What Happens in Vegas, Why Did i Get Married, Madea Family Reunion, and The Wood

Probably the most realistic wedding movie is Robert Altman's A Wedding (1978), which has subsequently been adapted as an opera. He said he once that someone at a wedding once said that he thinks of the film every time he attends the wedding. The guy didn't realize he was talking to the director. He said he didn't particularly like the movie but thought the details hit close to home.
