+1 yWhen I was 40 I dated a woman who was 29 and I had intended to marry her. The only reason I broke up with her was she was going to give up custody of her kids to move cross country to be with me and I could not bring myself to doing that to her little kids. In order that she didn't blame her kids I had to invent a different reason so she would direct her anger against me and not her kids.

For me personally, it's more about how right the woman is for me as a partner, than her age. I'm 37 and my girlfriend (soon-to-be fiancée) happens to be 9 years younger than me... but I'm spending my life with her because she's the right person. So to answer your question, yes it is possible.

My boyfriend is almost six years older than me. He would have married me if I were ten years younger too because he prefers his women to be younger than he is. I also prefer men to be older than me by at least five years. If I were 25-30 I would ideally be looking into the range of 30-45. I like being younger I guess I feel more protected in some way.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yhonestly no. they mainly see a woman in their 20's as an easy way to get sex.

Asker+1 yoh sounds like it doesn't get better...

No. Men like easy sex from all age women. Men typically only date seriously younger.

+1 yYeah that’s what I’m looking for right now. A woman in her late 20s to early 30s. I want to have kids. If she’s 35 or older this gets more challenging.
I’ve been in several age gap relationships. But I can’t look to get serious with girl in her early 20s. But a woman in her late 20s to early 30s should (hopefully) be more stable and ready to settle down.00 Reply
+1 yYes, I would marry a 25 year old at 35, or I suppose a 28 year old at 38 since getting to know her would take several years.
She would need to have enough in common with me to warrant it, but the 10 year gap doesn't bother me.20 Reply
+1 yWhy yes, of course. Women are about five years ahead of men in maturity anyway.
A guy's brain doesn't even fully form till about 25.
Don't squander your youth and beauty, for it does not last forever. By thirty you are starting to age, and now have to compete with much younger and prettier women in the dating pool. By forty, it is increasingly difficult to land a suitable mate, for a LOT of reasons.00 ReplyWell men typically date/marry younger and women date/marry older so yes I would. I'm definitely more mature and have more life experience than when I was 18/19/20 so I feel like I'd have better luck dating and not being so awkward.
10 ReplyI'm 49. If I were to find myself single again I'd be happy to marry a girl 20 years younger than me. Maybe more.
Whether she'd be prepared to marry an "old" guy is a different matter...10 Reply
+1 yI have an age limit I stick to generally. Anyone younger and I (ignoring the fact I would feel creepy) don't think we would be at the same place in life, looking for the same thing etc.

Asker+1 yhow come? it's interesting because most seem fine with it

It is more complex that many think. I don't start running left just because many are doing it. It's up to the person, it's just I am not one of these who thinks it's fine.
Asker+1 ywhy is it not fine?

Age gap is a serious matter and it's different times too, these traditions were understandable and acceptable at time and point but now days, it is misleading and it's been used for other reasons. Not many marriages are successful as people think when there is that kind of age gap, there is a slight percentage that made it but it still has holes and flaws and it's because they are used to it, it doesn't mean it's optimal. The communication level is not the same, when a woman is that young and out of the sudden you need her to grow up with 10+ years mentally is mentally exhausting and unhealthy, refusing to see the damage doesn't mean there is no damage there. Many (MEN) well say yes, of course. How many women does say yes to that by their own will?
+1 yMen tend to do that as a standard. Whether they manage or not, it's an entirely different story, but they generally try.

Asker+1 ywould you be more inclined to take a longer time to know her or a shorter time? before marrying her?
- +1 y
Longer but it’s really down to the girl, I would be more of a passenger.
Asker+1 ypassenger?
- +1 y
As in I would sit back and let her make those decisions
+1 yI wouldn't date a girl I had no intention of marrying; I think I'm too old now for that. I'm not sure I even want to date today's women because too many of them for my liking have made themselves ugly rather than beautiful.

+1 yIf I’m in my late 30s and she’s in her late 20s, you mean? I don’t see a problem with that.
+1 yyes but that make her 13 and I do not think I can do it now maybe in 10 years if she still not see anyone if she grown up and it could work

+1 yProbably not, I would go on a casual date with a younger women but marrying one, not so much.

When and if I get married I want someone I can grow old with not someone going to clubs. When people are 20-50 it really does not matter as both people should be healthy enough to enjoy whatever life has to offer. After 60 you start to slow down and other things become more important. Dating a 20 year old, while fun and exciting and a boost to the ego just does not cut it in the long run. So 20 years now does not mean much but when I am 60 and you are 40 then the real problems begin. You are in the prime of your life and I am getting old. You are still wanting to have fun and I am going to bed at 11 instead of 2.
Casual dating yes, marriage NO.
If they are into marriage, those 10 years will not be a issue. Assuming they find them attractive.

+1 yWay more than 20 year olds. And yes. I would ONLY marry a girl 10 or more years younger. Women at 30 hit the wall and become pretty undesirable for marriage for most men.

Maturity is a huge factor. Most of them are not.
