Not sure if those women who aren’t working are actually more like traditional house wives {their choice, having a baby and staying home temporarily, husband preference} or gold diggers where some men may not mind lol.

Those men that are not working and homeless probably came with a rough background {i. e mental health issues, veterans, neglectful family and support, no ambition, etc}.

Everyone has their own stories.

Just because a person does not want to work does not mean they will not work. There are many times in a persons life where we sure all hell don't want to get up and go to work. But most people still do.

But that's not the point of the question. Both men and women CAN work and take care of themselves and pay their own way in life. That's understood. But men who refuse to work usually have no other options but to be homeless. Women can get welfare, public housing, or find a man to pay for her. Men don't have those options, despite "equality."

The quote assumes that living with parents or friends aren't options - that people are literally responsible for taking care of themselves.
