Since you are not in a position to get married, why the hurry?
You are only 24 and marriage should definitely not be on your priority list. Give it another 3 or 4 years and think of the commitment thoroughly before you jump into this venture.
You state that YOU want to marry your girlfriend but is this rush also reciprocated? Also, being together for just one single year is not enough to know a person inside out.
Don't rush into something you may regret later in life. If your marriage needs to be memorable, then wait for the right time.

I always wanted to do it the Christian way which is to not have any kids until I’m married. I didn’t care about the money, kind of ring, or any of that because I knew down the line we can bring out something much bigger once we could afford it. the money didn’t amount to how much I really love him. We did a civil marriage and then start planning a wedding that would suit us later on. Start saving right now if you like. I’m sure she would appreciate it
