As a lot of women want traditional wedding, courtship, engagements and etc.

How would you feel if the white/ivory colored wedding dresses would be off limits to nonvirgin women?

As it is traditionally a sign of purity and virginity.

Before you all get too excited we are talking about modern tradition. And so is the wedding itself and all that goes with it. As women tend to hold some traditions about wedding very absolute. Why not poke some fun/terror on that one? Nothing shaming about it

As per update, wedding are also modern traditions. We are not comparing what is older.
And white dresses were about signaling purity and virginity for a long tine, now it has died off more, now it merely symbolizes.

White wedding dresses had nothing to do with the fact if a woman was a virgin or not. I was a status symbol and a sign of wealth since the color of white was had to keep clean in the 1700s.
