Why do men run away like coward chickens when it comes to marriage?

Because when it comes to divorces, there's nothing good that comes from it and the guy has EVERYTHING to loose! And very literally. Not just in the short term, but literally for the REST OF HIS LIFE! I'm not exaggerating either, ex wives can even go after his pension! That's so not right! And yes, nobody plans or thinks their marriage is going to end in divorce, but look at the stats. It's very possible and you can ignore that possibility. So wouldn't you be "afraid" also (if you were a guy, or if it was reversed)? It's like asking why you're afraid of natural disasters, or death. Why do women feel marriage is so important anyway (if not for financial gain?)? It doesn't "prove" anything at all and not necessary at all to "live happily ever after".

The same reason bison run from tigers, despite being twice their size.  Teeth and claws are no joke, deary. The claws of gold diggers are really hard and painful for most men to dislodge.

Don't mistake wisdom for cowardice. You want marriage because it benefits you and secures your future. We don't want it because that benefit and security are at our expense.

Only men who love in the western society runs away. Other society they don't run but find solution to fix what ever is wrong with them. 1) Money, 2) weight gain/loss.3) better home.

Not sure what’s cowardly about it. Why don’t you try marrying someone who consents to that arrangement? Marriage doesn’t benefit men in any way whatsoever.
