In a marriage are we expected to be close to our partner's families?

I just don't like mine & can't stand them. I don't see why I have to be too nice & close? Feel free to share ur experience or others

It’s fine if you don’t but chances are your marriage won’t last long especially if he’s really close to his family. You’re going to make it hard for him between picking you or his family. His family will know whether you like them or not. It’s probably best to find a man whose family you do like. I don’t k ow about many cultures but w in the Native American and Hispanic cultures we’re big on family. So I wouldn’t be w someone who isn’t into my family.
