Is it normal for my fiance not to put in effort to set up our wedding date?

He said he was going to email our pastor yesterday to ask if we can marry at the church. He didn't. Hd said he and I were going to try on our ring size so we can order our wedding bands. We didn't. Our wedding is supposed to be a month from now.

A sign of cold feet or not wanting a wedding in the first place. Just doing things because you asked rather than because they want to. If you confront him he may not admit it especially if he wants to "be polite".
