Should I wait for marriage?

So I remember talking to my fiance about marriage and happening next year, but he said he didn't remember. So he was talking about another 2-3 years and wants me to make at least $30k a year. I didn't think it mattered to guys how much women make. I make $24k. I don't wanna wait that long, and he talks about me with money yet he lost thousands. Sigh* I want to move forward but it's like he doesn't want to become of my finances.

Guys do care what a woman makes, it's just that they don't necessarily rely on it and it's not normally a red flag.

You don't say how much he makes. You'll be reliant on him at some time in your life.

I'd guess he's young and focused on career. You want to make babies and get married. Perhaps you're a mismatch at this stage

So good money but he presumably sees you adding to it to fulfill his aspirations for you both as a couple.
Perhaps he's financially planning a future and knows how needs more for a wife, house, car, travel, marriage etc.
