My sister has a horrible marriage and many times I have advised on situations that are even repeating and I understand that I would never judge anyones relations ship because I know how hard it is to be stuck. But he beats on her not always but whenever she provokes him and I’ve told her look since you decided to stay just don’t provoke him they seem to do very fine when that doesn’t happen. But she continues to provoke him no matter what and I don’t understand why she can’t just ignore him when she knows the outcome and then I have to come here about all these painful things after again and again. Is this right?

It's messed up, but if she won't listen, it's her life and she will suffer the consequences- you can't make her leave him. You may think about calling the police and ask for a wellness check and explain the situation to them.

It’s impossible for her to not provoke him. She needs to leave as soon as possible before she ends up in the hospital or dead.

i mean, if you know that provocation makes him angry and makes him beat you, one would think to stop that? anyways. it's not much of your issue, you tried. not much else you can do.
