There are many things they should discuss before getting married. This list will by no means be exhaustive.

• What are their life goals and aspirations? What do the man and the woman each want out of life and of marriage? What kind of person does each want to be?
• What will their sex life be like?
• How many children will they have and when? How will they handle discipline? How will they engage difficult situations with them (pornography, questionable friends, etc.)?
• What religious beliefs will they practice and how? What views and values do they want to pass on to their children, both religious and cultural?
• Where will they live?
• How will each strengthen, nourish, and sustain each other?
• Is either person "hiding" something? Is there anything in either person's past that the other needs to know about?
