It was a couple of hundred dollars... we ate some food after. That was it.

The way we saw it is we are and have already been together, but it was a forced thing we had to do because she was and still is, in the military. Say she gets stationed in Japan (which happened)... the military will not pay for a boyfriend to move with her. So it was just a thing we had to do and get it out of the way. Right now we're about to move again from Washington State to Rhode Island. The moving every 3 years stuff sucks, but at least we don't have to pay for it ourselves just to be together.

My dream ring wouldve initially been like $2700-3300 and my dream dress wouldve been like $1800-2100 but i dont actually like rings so i’d be okay with one that isn't a diamond and cost less that $1000 tbh. I'm single but I believe the wedding should cost less than 12% of your car so if you car is $80,000, your wedding should be $10,000. If your car is $40,000 your wedding should be $5,000.

For my first wedding I don't remember, I was on leave, and really wasted. For my second one I think about 1k maybe, for the ring and the justice of the peace.

Marriage is a contract, screw spending a lot on the wedding, I got married first and then put a down payment on a house. If I was a dick I would have put the down payment on the house first for a pre-nup type scenario.

I do not have a budget for one as I will not marry under current law. If the laws change and I decide to marry, it would depend on how big her family is. I have friends, but no living close relatives to so my side might be 10 people including those of the wedding party.
