In german, Based on google search, 25% of couples spent between 5.000 and 10.000 €, while couples over 40years old spent less than 5.000 € (probably as its their second wedding) and 5% of couples spent more than 20.000€

At least you need to invest about 100€, this will get you legaly married with all the documents.

Spending $30,000 on a wedding does not make your marriage last any longer, but it might actually make it shorter. It is bad to start a marriage in debt from an overpriced wedding. Add to that a house many couples buy too, with furniture and the likes. Then they find they bit off more than they can chew and start arguing about finances. The next thing you know they are getting a divorce. I've seen it happen.

That depends how big of a wedding you want. I'm simple person I want a small intimate wedding family few friends spend somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 maybe 15 thousand of you go all out. You can spend about 30 to 50 thousand us dollars because I'm from the USA

The average was listed last time I heard at £23k but allowing for inflation now must be close to £30k

Personally I've got no idea but given the minimum costs required to even be in a relationship that much is probably likely even if I cut corners in some areas being the degenerate that I am would spend the savings made on other parts

I suppose of I went real shotgun style I could borrow a car, buy a suit, dress and some rings then stop in a decent restaurant for probably £2,000

It can cost lots of money, but i been to a few weddings on the cheap side. The closest or family and friends. In someone's garden. No church, just signed documents. They used the money to start their life's together, to travel together. I don't get why people have the need to do a expensive party.

I got married 26 years ago. We did it under a thousand dollars. My father in law felt so bad because we had such a n inexpensive wedding he bought us a washer and dryer when we moved into our new house., We had it at my wife's house. Her father and me renovated the basement and we turned it into a big party room. My wife got married in her mother's wedding dress. My best friend was the bartender. We knew somebody who made wedding cakes. We had a bout 50 -60 people show up. The only problem was there was only one bathroom but I got all my friends to pee outside in the bushes. Everyone said it was the best wedding they ever went to.
