How much did your wedding cost?

Mine was about $8,000.

Including the Honeymoon (two weeks each in Australia & New Zealand) the total came to just over £30.000 (UK Stirling).

We both have the most wonderful, amazing and generous parents who each contributed one third, with us putting in the remainder.

Although I'm not married, my parents have estimated that around $65,000 will be spent on my wedding (excluding honeymoon). I'll try to cut the expenses but I am Indian weddings are really a big thing over here. We are also the most populated country so, there will be too many guests.

Too much.. as soon as you mention the word wedding the price goes up so much... just book a function and send wedding invites, will cost at least at minimum half as much. There is no difference in the event for the venue but they just slap on a premium because of the word wedding.

Nothing. We just paid for the marriage license. I think we paid $65. Everything else was provided for free. It more like an outdoor party than a wedding.

I think it may have been $1000. 00 My wife wore her mother's wedding dress. We bought wedding rings from a guy my ex-boss knew. When i asked him how much I owed him for the rings he said consider it a wedding gift. We had a party at my father in laws house and we fixed up the basement. We ate a lot of homemade food and the wedding cake was made by somebody my wife worked with. The photographer was her neighbor.

Under 5k. Her parents offered more, we took the rest and used it as honeymoon and home down payment money.
