Only guys think women expect hugely expensive rings. No woman I know expects that. It’s a weird podcast bro myth.
I told my guy I’d wear a fake $90 ring I got online that I really love but if he wanted to buy something he could get a moissanite for less than 5k in the style I wanted. He insisted on a real diamond because he could pay for a moissanite with a couple days worth of work so it doesn’t feel special to him. He wants to spend 25k+ on my ring and at first I was anti-diamond and anti anything that expensive because I figured the money could better be put to use and I would feel TERRIBLE if I lost a ring that was worth that much, but I realized it’s an ego thing for him. If he wants to preen like a peacock and show off what he is able to buy for me, why shouldn’t I let him? He can afford it, he wants to do it, and it still looks just like the style I wanted.

So my answer is $90 but what I’m getting is over 25k. 🤷🏼‍♀️
