For those who are divorced, would you ever get married again?

I’ve never been married but I don’t think I’ll ever get married. At a very young age (early elementary) I watched my dad get cheated on by my mom. I remember seeing the pain he was in. In all honesty I didn’t just loose respect for her. I lost respect for women, there are other factors that played into that but that’s not important, And that was a long time ago, and my views on my mom and women have change, for the most part. When I say for the most part I mean that I’ve learned to give a current amount of respect to everyone the rest is earned or the opposite of earned. The little amount of what I “don’t respect women” is the fear of being cheated on due to child hood traumas. I guess what I’m trying to say is that there is a part of me that believes that any women I get into a relationship with me will cheat.
One of my biggest fears is giving my everything to someone, tying the not and then getting cheated one. Having the trust broken. Going through the divorce and loosing half of everything I have to someone who has betrayed me.

Remember that same side of the coin happens to women to. Allllotttt of women are disrespected and left alone and taken advantage of. You can be there protection and rewrite this tragic story as she could do for you. Wish you best.

My mum went through an abusive marriage for 8 years. Her ex-husband cheated on her multiple times, spread diseases to her (from cheating) which resulted in her surgically needing part of her cervix removed due to flesh eating bacteria. He also beat her and controlled her social life. Eventually she got out of that marriage and recovered from the trauma. 11 years later she met her now husband. He’s an amazing man, treats her so well, and I’ve never seen someone make her as happy as he does. They’ve been together for 12 years now and married for 5 years.

I've never been married but have been broken up with, have broken a few hearts too I believe. I don't know if I actually would? Lol, my comment doesn't carry much weight considering I am a woman who's never been married (almost at one point lol, but technically no).

I was divorced and, at that time and immediately thereafter, swore I’d never get married again. Yet, if the right person sneaks up on you and restores your faith & perhaps even shows you a different reality - it can happen. At least it did for me. Remarried & happily so.

I would consider it. Still in midst of a divorce but i plan on being much more careful in the future. I was with my ex husband for over 15 years since we were young teens when we started dating. Many things were overlooked between us both and reasons for staying together for so long were immature decisions carried over from youth, and fears of being alone.

Yes and I did. First marriage was circumstantial and unrelated to our awesome relationship. Now married 8 years already going happy and strong for the both of us.
