A couple in Japan found a unique way to deal with Japanese custom and law. When a couple marries in Japan they are required to use one surname. That means that one of the partners needs to change their surname.
One couple each liked their own pre-marriage surname and wanted to keep them, but they can't by law. So, they decided to get married, then divorced, every 3 years, changing their surname each time, so that each gets a chance to maintain their surname.
To determine which surname to use first, they flipped a coin, and the husband won. After 3 years, they got divorced and remarried, using the wife's surname. And it goes on, divorce/marriage every 3 years, swapping surnames...
What do you think of this creative solution to the couple's problem?
