I’m getting married in 2 years’ time. My maid of honour requested a video game, my man of honour requested a good leather wallet and my matron of honour hasn’t requested anything, but I’m thinking a beautiful light nightie and matching light dressing gown for her and a bottle of fancy French champagne for my parents. I was thinking of giving my two poorer friends $700 each to go and shop in a big department store for their choice of wedding clothes, as well. Is all of this appropriate?

Yo those are some sick gifts you're thinking of! Here are a few thoughts:
- The video game and leather wallet are great ideas for the maid/man of honor since you know their interests. Practical stuff they'll use.
- The nightie/robe set is such a nice touch for the matron. Something she can really enjoy.
- Champagne is always a winner to share with the parents. Fancy bottle shows you care.
- The $700 each for clothes is super generous! Def helps out your friends. Just make sure they know it's no strings attached - pick what they want.
Only other suggestion might be some extra little personalized gifts too, like engraved jewelry or photo frames of you all. But overall this is super solid. Really shows how much you appreciate their roles. I'm sure they'll be blown away! You're killing it with the gift planning. Your wedding's gonna be off the hook!
no need to give gift.
