We had a small wedding. We had it at my wife's house. I helped her father remodel the basement and we had homemade food. My wife knew somebody who made wedding cakes and she wore her mother's wedding dress. Wee had a bar setup and my best friend was the bar tender. We had about 50 people show up. Everyone that came said it was the best wedding they ever went to. The only problem was there was only one bathroom. All my friends peed in the backyard.

We had appetizers provided by our Asian community to hold the guests over during the photo shoot, followed by a full meal once we arrived. Entire thing didn't cost more than 2k.

I would opt for small... but it depends of course :D having a partner with a huge family and many friends could change that plan :D But as communication is the key - let's talk it out. Extravagant weddings have one thing which makes them scary to me. The amount of work needed to cover everything...

Several guests travelling from China, more travelling from West Coast. Reception at country club. Acoustic duo during cocktail hour. Full meal. Four hours of dancing with a six-piece band. Followed by a one-week, low stress honeymoon. If you can afford it, why don't you want to celebrate it in style?

Small in number but grand in design. I want a nice tented wedding/reception with 50’or less people. Trying to stay under 20k though

small simple. like registry and hiring a small town hall and diy'ing most of it.

A simple nikah where only people I'm close to are invited.
