My parents celebrated 29 year anniversary yesterday.
I thought your parents were separated?
My parents had 5 children , She was 20 , he was 30 years old when they married , I was the youngest , she had me at 37 , she died in 1998 , Dad died in 1975 .
Technically they were married will Tom died , although a car accident ( the results of , cut short his life , had the accident when I was 7 , died with I was 14 ) ..
So from 1944 to 1975 = 31 years technically , but not really , because Tom was left destroyed by this accident = 31 - 7 = 24 really. If you are not together being married on paper means little.

They'll be happily married for 36 years on August. Sure they may have had their ups and downs, but they're both inseparable, and whenever I myself am feeling down about my own love life, I just look at them and I'm given this sense of hope that if my parents were able to find each other, there must be someone out there for me too.
Also by the way, I'm writing this early in the morning while these two are in their bedroom next to me, cuddled together in their shared massive quilt, snoring away in sync with each other. That right there is the definition of true love if I've ever seen one ❤️
When you are a kid you sometimes take it for granted that your parents will be together forever. You don't even know what divorce is. I am fortunate to still have my parents, and they are still married after 32 years.
My parents were never married, and I never met my father... all I have is his name. And I haven't spoken to my mother since 1999.

My parents were married for 35 years and then got divorced. My father died in 2007. My mother is alive, remarried, and 92 years old.
My parents were married 41 years... until my father died.
They were married for 11 years
I think I've been married about 20 years... my Mom though... HA!
I don't think any man could put up with her bullshit. She spent her life bouncing from guy to guy and starting shit like a pissed off entitled teenage girl all the way into her 50's.
My Dad married another woman right after making me with my mom and getting chased off by my mom, and he was married to that woman until his death.
My Mom is just a disaster. Everybody hates her or fakes it just so she doesn't go to war with us. My sisters and I all agree though in private... our mom is a piece of fucking shit.
My mom died shortly after their 50th anniversary. I think it was only a couple of months after. Out of all the friends I grew up with, none of their parents ever got divorced. Their marriages all lasted 50-65 years until one of them died.
Divorce wasn't common back then. I was 11-12 years old before I met anyone with divorced parents. It seemed really sad to me.
I don't know exactly how long. But they are 58 an 59 and my older sibling is 31 and they were married before that... so at least 32 years.
My grandparents on my father's side were a couple for 72 years before my grandmother died. But I don't know how long they were married.
I'm trying to imagine you as a little girl. I bet you were really cute. Kind of like you are now. Do you have any pictures of yourself when you were very young?
Grats to your parents.
My mother filed for divorce last year after being together for around 40 years or so. My mother could no longer tolerate his verbal abuse and financial woes, it got bad because they're in their 70s now and they need to be financially wiser with whatever funds they have.
Wow that is something I never thought of asking them 🤔, I am very curious right now. Good to hear yours are married for this long. They were never vocal about such things to people , very private people.
10 years. They divorced when I was a kid. Preteen years. Right around the time when I needed two parents the most I'd say.
Think my parents also has been together for about 29 years.
My grandparents (maternal) were together for around... 52 years? I think, before my granddad passed awayFrom June 1957 until Mother passed away July 2023, just a bit over 66 years. From February 2015 forward Mom had this terrible stroke which incapacitated her totally, but Dad stuck it out. I appreciated the photo from "The Notebook". Just about everyone misses the heart of that story, namely, the characters as old people. I am now visiting the old man for Christmas.
37 years, and they've been together since high-school
nearly 40 years. It's very rare for Indians to get divorced. There's not much left in their marriage, basically they are fulfilling their duties. My father gets his pension and my mother is unwell now but does a little around the house. They have a maid and cook.
23 years. Those geniuses got married in 2000 so it's a veeeery easy number to remember (my dad still asked me in November how long they were married for 💀)
My parents got divorced when I was in high school. They were married a long time before my brother and I were born. Sometimes I wonder if we were an accident.
My mom died about five years ago, but they were married for like 42 years, and together for about 55 altogether.
Oh those hypocrites………. I never got a chance to ask them but I will ask them when I see them whenever that is
My parents have been married for 43 years & all my mom says is that she can’t believe she hasn’t killed my father yet.
Only 13 years, my mom remarried 10 years later for 15 years before she passed away, my dad was remarried over 10 years later for 33 years and still going, I was married 17 years but divorced 7 now and still searching
