I never said anything was wrong with it I was just curious if I should bring it to his attention that I know. I don’t know about anyone else’s relationship but we are extremely close we talk about everything the good, the bad, the ugly… For crying out loud we had gotten married outside the city hall in the cold weather but I’ll definitely do it all over again… I can just say I was shocked but as I reflected he’s my world and no it doesn’t matter

It honestly doesn't matter.
If a woman who loved me and got along well with me gave me a plastic ring she found in a cereal box, I'd still keep her.
What matters is relationship compatability, not what the person gets for you.

I don't think there's anything to address to him. If the set looks good and you still like it, having fake diamonds shouldn't be an issue.
