Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI think when people get past the fantasy of one another and both people genuinely see one another for who they really are and genuinely love them despite their flaws. That’s a type of love that’s so rare and hard to find. Many relationships are superficial, materialistic, and sexually based. There isn’t anything real between them and when the sex gets boring they cheat.
The type of love where you love one another to the core. Where you would die for each other. When you’re companions and best pals. When you have decided that this is someone I can love unconditionally. Now,… there are some conditions. Like cheating. Like a relationship being one sided. The list goes on. But you trust one another to never intentionally hurt the other.

+1 yI could see myself however it's a daydream lol or a Buddhist inspired meditation dream - hmm - I for one could imagine that daydream or "what could've been" I would've been happier to opt for a cheaper, smaller, court registry type wedding and a small reception meal gathering afterward and no white dress no tuxedo 👔 yet I would wear business attire that's minus tie and minus jacket. Long sleeve button up shirt like the emoji without tie above
Ah well.
And the woman, she in her 20s, could've worn a tartan purple black skirt, a nice purple turtleneck or something 😋♀️09 Reply- +1 y
Futurama used to have Leela and Amy where some intriguing cleavage showing outfits at times, nothing more than like a circle or a heart shape cut out above the breasts example Fry/Lars and Leela wedding and so on 😆😃

+1 yNo. I'm more traditional and I'd want it legal and proper. I don't mind signing a prenuptial, though. If I marry, it's because I love the man and want to spend my life with him, not because I want to destroy him. The legal marriage contract saves a lot of headaches with medical and death-related things, too. Otherwise, I have no legal standing and his family takes over. I'm not cool with that.
But, I don't need a ceremony. I'd be fine doing it at the courthouse. That's what I wanted the first time, but everyone had to have this huge affair. I thought it was over-the-top and rather wasteful, and I would far rather have used the money as a downpayment. But, I'm probably overly pragmatic that way.

Technically at this age “white wedding” wouldn’t be a thing either way… But commitment to a long-term “golden years” relationship is possible with the right life partner.
10 Reply558 opinions shared on Marriage & Weddings topic. Although I must confess we did indeed had a most extravagant white wedding (approx £30k) courtesy of our extremely generous parents... Both my husband and I would just have happily married wearing rags at the local registry office.
20 ReplyI have very high standards. Getting a ring from me is like winning the Olympic Gold Medal. My wife earned it. Also I tell others that the old traditions were better so I would be a hypocrite if I didn't marry the woman who was in my life & who was loyal to me.
Now when I was really young & thought I knew everything I had a different opinion. But over time I came to respect our ancestors more & to respect modern know-it-alls less.
10 Reply100%, I seek the deepest form of love for life but I dislike the current system around marriages since to me it introduces a power imbalance that shouldn't be in the relationship. A life long relationship sounds perfect.

@EmmaMary The many instances of the courts screwing over the guy if the girl devices to leave trough no fault of the guy. I should not be punished for her leaving, that means she can threaten to leave whenever she wants and if I leave I also get screwed over. That places all the power in her hands within the relationship and thats not healthy. By not having a contract with the government its an authentic relationship where there are no external consequences of leaving. That means if either leaves there is a balanced outcome.
507 opinions shared on Marriage & Weddings topic. Yes. If by "white wedding" you mean church, the whole nine yards. If you mean no marriage at all then my answer is "no". Why would I want to be with a woman that says she wants to be with me forever but is unwilling to make it official before almighty God?

Atheists get married too.

@Vesuvius87 well I wouldn't be marrying an atheist so your point is moot.
u +1 yAbsolutely, and I currently am in one. We’ve been together over 3 years, now have a baby together, and neither of us are interested in marriage.

+1 yNo I don't think I could.. I am traditional when it comes to relationships. I use to view the whole dating process merely as a rehearsal for marriage.
10 ReplyI could, yeah. While I would prefer to be married, I'm pretty scared of marriage as well with the current divorce rate and how badly divorce seems to go for men.
10 ReplyMarriage is something special to me. It's like a more sacred form of commitment. I would like to get married some day.
