How could a man love his wife more then his own kids?

Never made sense to me especially when a person says “well because my wife is the only reason I have my kids”. Especially if his wife loves her kids more then her husband, she too would not have kids if it was not for her husband.

Men and women are equally as important. If someone would let a defenseless child die over their wife that’s disgusting to me. A man who defends his wife as well as his kids is honorable. Those children deserve love and affection. You chose your wife and a lot of these men are married to absolutely terrible women who make them miserable. Which further makes no sense to me why he would pick his wife over his own babies.

I am not saying a man shouldn’t love his wife and be willing to die for her. Same for a woman to her husband. God comes first. But kids come first and foremost. Then your spouse comes next. Then yourself third.

It’s also people say “it’s not selfish to put yourself first” if you have a family. Your kids needs come before your own. Your kids deserve to eat, your kids deserve to have a nurturing loving upbringing, your kids deserve both parents to be present in their life. Even if the parents made bad choices such as they aren’t married to one another. Those kids didn’t ask to be born into this world. Take care of your damn kids and stop being selfish
