GOD NO!

Neither of my grandfathers did and neither would I. (I learned my lesson! Besides, I am too old to remarry.)

However, thankfully, both of my widowed grandmothers remarried at a young age... to my grandfathers!

It's sort of creepy when you think about it. Two young men - my grandmothers' first husbands - had to die for 30 other people to be born:
Me
My sister
My parents
4 aunts
2 uncles
20 cousins

No.  Would I maybe date someone else? Have casual sex? Maybe. But not marry.  And that's considering I would even be able to cope afterwards which I probably wouldn't.

My spouse did die, and I would marry again if it was the right person. I loved my husband, but assuming I have 50 years of life left, I still have time to build a life with someone else. I value the balance that a man can bring to a home, and I'd love my kids to see a healthy relationship between a man and a woman.

At 41 it is hard to tell, but likely if someone caught my eye as my hubby did I could see me married again. I would rather however have what I now have for eternity.
