What could possibly make a woman say no to a marriage proposal?

It's already been several years since marriage became more beneficial for women. Yet there are still a couple bfs that got turned down. Unbelievable but it has happened too. A couple women have rejected proposals.

What could possibly make a woman say no to a marriage proposal? Why would a woman say no to that?

Marriage has become more beneficial for a woman? Really? How?

Let's see into it..

Benefits :-
1) She would get a husband.
2) She could get a family.
3) She may need not to earn money for her day to day lives.
4) She could get alimony after divorce.

Disadvantages :-
1) She has to be dependent on that man for her day to day expenses, as she isn't earning money so even for her basic needs like for sanitary napkins or she wants to buy some purse for herself she has to beg for money, but if her husband see no importance in buying that, she has to kill her desire but she can't do anything.

2) Yes she will get a family and she has to devote her whole life since morning to the night for fulfilling the needs of that family, from making lunch, making bed, raising children, taking care of their health and everything without even getting a thankyou in return. And even sometimes get to hear abusing words if ever she miss to do something on time in this busy day. She has to ignore her health even to fullfill the needs of that family.

3) If by chance that husband happened to be abusive, she will still try to be in that relationship because she isn't independent. But by chance she choose to take divorce ofcourse she will get alimony but for that she has to prove that her husband was treating her this way. And if that husband deny to give divorce, her fight will become more tough for her. And there is also chance that she may get killed there as she is already in lion's den, and nobody will know.

4) Let's assume now that marriage is not that horrible, but still that husband later loses intrest in her but same time he doesn't want to give divorce, because of alimony problem. She can't do anything but has to be there as she isn't independent but she is dependent on that man.

The relationship was failing already. The proposal wasn't what you wanted and as a partner you should know that.

I see. Yet if she still loves him, then I guess she could him a chance and accept it, but can postpone the engagement.
This happened to someone at my workplace. He proposed after his girlfriend left him after 7 years and supposedly she got tired of waiting. He tried to win her back, went after her with the ring but the woman said no to him. Wow. Supposedly she wanted marriage for the longest, wanted a future with him and then doesn't want it anymore. She was even upset to get proposed at that point. Wow

Now the tables turned. He wants it now but she doesn't want it anymore.

Having to tell someone to propose to you can be exhausting and when it finally happens it wouldn't feel genuine.

True. It seemed like she lost total interest in him.

I can imagine. In her eyes he's only proposing because she wanted him to not because it's something he genuinely wants to do. He feels like he doesn't have any other option. She doesn't want a proposal that's an ultimatum.

I find it interesting that if the man takes too long to propose (if they've been together for 5+ years and she's been already ready earlier) and he tries to propose after she breaks up, she doesn't want it anymore. This happened to someone at my workplace. He regrets making her wait too long. They were together for 7 years. She didn't want to marry him anymore. He bored her.

In that case, the two top reasons fits. She no longer saw him as the right guy and the timing was too late.

Because we don't want to for various reasons. y'all seem to forget, depending on where you live, marriage puts us at risk too. Some areas don't allow divorce. Some legally allow a man to rape his wife. Etc. Etc.
