Should girls gracefully turn down a marriage proposal, or should she insult the guy while doing so?

This guy in my company proposed to a girl. She reportedly told him "even if you are the last man on the earth, I will not marry you."
He is shocked as much by her rejection as by her comments.
This girl then put up the entire episode on her facebook page and the poor guy changed the job.
I think girls should behave gracefully - even when rejecting a marriage proposal.
10 years down the line, the girl will get desprete and will have noone to reach out to.

If you're not interested in marrying someone the decent thing is to say so firmly, gracefully, and respectfully. Being disrespectful to someone just to show you're not interested in the person shows lack of breeding, class, or culture. It would confirm you as unsuitable for marriage or for any kind of relationship with anyone with the modicum of self respect, dignity, or commonsense. Such behaviour is for the streets (and belongs to the gutter and the sewer), along with all those who engage in it.
