Wearing my recently deceased brothers wedding band on my middle finger, to keep his memory alive in my mind?

Recently (from July 2024 - until his death January 6th) I tried to help dying brother, eat, get back and forth to his BR and getting his hair cut... After his death, I brought back from Atlanta as much of his things, clothes, shoes, furniture, pictures that I could and now have have found a place for them in my home in California. I found his wedding band, his 'class ring' for the University we both attended.

I am wearing his wedding band on my middle or index finger to help me keep his memory alive. Anyone else done the same?

A wedding ring resembles the circle of love. I know how much you love you brother and I believe wearing his ring keeps him close to you.
Like when you're driving you'll see it on your finger and remember him.
Any time you want to be close to him, just put your fingers around his ring and it will mean something special to you.
Personally I haven't had a ring to wear from another person, but if I did I would wear it as a way to keep them close to me.
I know you did above and beyond for your brother and it wasn't an easy thing to do since he lived so far from you - but you did it! That's Brotherly love at its best.

I have always liked that song. When it came out, the Vietnam war was going on and I always pictured a soldier carrying one of his military 🪖 brothers over his soldiers, either way, dead or alive - that's what they did for each other without hesitation. I get it!

My stepdad was a hiker, and he always wore bandanas to keep the sweat off of his face. It’s a habit he picked up from my mom, or she picked up from him I can’t remember. But bandanas are kind of like our family’s go-to for any cloth needs. I keep his with me in my car in case I need it. I don’t usually do much with it other than just clean my sunglasses, but I always thank him for letting me borrow it. He died 5 years ago.
