Most of marriages in my circles and family are healthy, only found 1 person who has like toxic marriages who always argue or fight as i know, but they don’t even divorce until know. The key is pick someone from good family, who raised well and happy when they were kid, they have potential more to be a good partner compared people who lack of love when they grow up.

Better tax class for both of you. So if you split income anyway you both have more. I am against the concept of that only applying for married couples but as long as its the case its good to use.

Also the wedding day is great and you can make it how you want. It you dont want church, fine. If you feel other aspects outdated, dont do them. Its a bond between you and your partner with a great memory.

I agree with some of the problems that come with it but you can work around a lot of them if you actually want to.

Free healthcare from the husband, less things to pay for with bills, companionship and if you divorce you get half of everything you didn’t even have before plus alimony and child support if you have children

Do you need benefits? Why not just have a lovely day with all the people you love. And promise your loved one to stay with them for the rest of your life. You can with words but I like how official marriage is. It feels much more special than just a promise behind closed doors.

Being able to spend the rest of my life with my best friend, partner and confidante. Being happy and having fun. Having respect and being respected. Being his hype woman and number one fan. Those are the benefits for me

I think for some women it is still money. Even nowadays. And even if a women has a good salary, probably she will not marry someone who does not make good money. So I think money is still in the picture for a lot of women and always will be.
