In what way are you unhappy? That a husband and child is not all rainbows and unicorns with pink angora rabbits frolicking on the grass.

You don't say how old the child is but children are traumatized by separation from parents. There is a possibility you have postpartum depression.

There are happy nature people and unhappy nature people. You might well find unhappiness follows you in your geographical escape.

It is best to work on yourself. I am currently doing that myself.

It could be the correct choice, if your influence on the child is worse than the dad alone or dad with step mom. You'd be right to leave them.

But drop the understanding of "remarrying" as if it's a game of chances. All new marriages will be broken as long you are broken. And if you aren't then i have to wonder why your current marriage did not work. ㅤ
