In a real relationship it does work both ways to be truly happy both people have to sacrifice for one another. It’s not easy…. I don’t have a family or kids. But I know it isn’t easy. When only one person is willing to sacrifice for the other it becomes extremely one sided and miserable.
Narcissists and other dark personalities you have to understand that they will always put themselves first. Over their spouse and YES over their own kids… That’s how they are. Not all women will do that the same as there’s men who do that… it’s not everyone.
Yes, some people have a midlife crisis. They feel like they’re missing out…. At the same time if they waited to be married. They would feel behind and like it’s too late. There is no winning sometimes.
I have seen both men and women pull some shitty shit. At the end of the day…. It comes down to the individual. Someone who loves their wife/husband and kids. Wouldn’t only put themselves first. In some cases someone may need to leave a relationship that’s toxic, abusive, and when someone’s cheated. But they will will fight for their kids.
If two people love one another they will. If someone feels they have to win someone’s love.. it’s over.
There are selfish men and women... maybe 25%.
There are also "normal" men and women who will sacrifice a lot of their own life goals and happiness for the good of their family... maybe 75%.
Stop fixating on the 25% minority who may or may not have justification for what they choose and focus on the unseen unsung heroes (or idiots) who keep slogging away in the shadows to benefit others.
I think it’s the other way around, but you really can’t generalize. Plenty of men will sacrifices for their families, and so will plenty of women. But yeah, my knee jerk response is it’s the other way around.
Both are true depending on the person.
Some would sacrifice themselves, and some would sacrifice their family.

Most generalizations based on gender are foolish and motivated by the speaker’s history of failed relationships.
I don't like it, it sounds like something an incel would say. But again there is a grain of truth following both types of leadership extremes in each gender and what they are known for. A traditional man would sacrifice his happiness for prestige and wealth so he can support his family ultimately while strong independent women get the rep of half abandoning their family for prestige and luxery.
It' s true too often. Men have treated women as some kind of princesses throughout human history. I think in some cases it's impaired their ability to stand on their own. The 21st century should be interesting as women are valued less and less as partners and seen less and less as a goal and more as dangerous to men.
I'm not so sure if that's true. I think both would sacrifice happiness for their children at least I would hope so.
"A women will sacrifice her family for her happiness."
The other, not so much.
True. About 50% of women are prepared to sacrifice their children's well being for their life enjoyment. It is quite clear from divorce stats.
I know plenty of women who have done the first, and plenty of men who have done the second.
That's just some snarky remark that's scribbled like others on toilet walls.
I kinda always thought the woman was more apt to keep the family together, just my experience, probably equal on both sides?
I've never heard that before, but it's very descriptive and probably true.
Ask a feminist and it's false. As a rational thinking person, it's true.
More true than women want it to be. Women, children and pets are loved unconditionally; men are loved for what they bring to the family (conditions).
A man in today’s world that will do that is like finding a unicorn.
Well, it is true to some extent. Not 100% though.
With modern women certainly.
no, it is horse manure.
it's true for both once in a while
False eyyy
