Yes.
Arranged factually has higher degrees of satisfaction.
In love marriages, you chase a feeling, and turn sour on your husband or wife when you're not finding the feeling, which causes them to be irritated or annoyed. In arranged marriage, feeling isn't the goal, so you just grow together and love in a slow burn that lasts.
When you focus on feelings, the feelings get worse. So a marriage built on feeling will likely get worse.00 Reply

Well i know for a fact once I start looking i will find that person
But in saying, all of the above, this is something I have never, ever experienced, and it's something that I would love to experience for a 1000 different reasons. I mean, even if it was for a month to a year, doesn't matter. I think there's something that could be very cool about it. And you would learn a lot\n About the other person and yourself, it would do nothing but make you grow To have an arranged partner, I guess it is.\n That it just sounds very interesting to me. I was going to sit here and say, well, II would hope that she had a good personality or I would hope that you know she's like me in a lot different ways. And those are a lot of things that I would like a lot more too, but just having it arranged and making it work would be a beautiful thing. I think00 ReplyThere this show called " married ar first sight" and people are set up by experts with people who match their morals and interests and both people really want to be married. I would definitely do that. Sounds great, I think physical attraction can build over time.
Now a traditional arranged marriage like by my parents for status or whatever I don't know. . . unless we both had similar ideas of how our marriage should go.
I really want children so I might settle for this if he was a good guy.00 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)5 moI tried hard as hell to find an arranged marriage in america. But no, its impossible to find here unless you are an indian or muslim. I'm currently planning on marrying a guy that I'm settling for. We both want kids, stability. But so far, I can definitely tell why he is still single at 40. There are certain things that I don't like about him- he can never admit it when he is wrong or has made a mistake.
He has a decent job and a business, but he is very bare minimum effort, definitely not the type of guy who sacrifices for his wife. I don't think I will marry him but I would have kids with him. He is also not affectionate or loving.
Even when settling for someone, I still have minimum basic standards of what and who he should be like. This guy just doesn't fit the bill
00 ReplyOnly if it still allowed choice and compatibility.
An arranged marriage can work when both people willingly agree, have time to know each other, and share values.
But settling out of fear or pressure usually leads to regret.
A partner is a life decision, not a deadline.00 Reply

- Fit
- Feminine
- Friendly
- Cooperative
- Submissive
- Childless
- Not a hoe
- No tattoos
- No piercings other than earlobes
- White
- Under 30

5 moNo!! I’ll always pick the one I’ll spend time with. The ideal partner is only an idea…. Sometime people might have to lower their expectations. Still… no one will ever pick for me.

Id trust my father and mother to find me a bride.

5 moNah, single forever. Better to die content and alone than stuck married to someone I don’t like

Nope. Die alone, arranged marriages are arranged on the assumption that you’ll each do something for each other and I’d rather not be treated like a purchase exchange
- 5 mo
I would much rather be alone than settle for mediocre

@cupcakethedestroyer
Then you will be lonely... and be doing everything alone. Nobody will give you a hug when you are going through a hard time In life. If you got fired or can't work, nobody will help with the bills. Nobody to care for you when you are sick. Nobody will be there for you when you go through the hardest time of your life. Nobody cares
Your parents will eventually die. Your siblings might get married, have kids and not have time for you anymore. Or move away.
There is a reason why people get married. It's not for no reason - 5 mo

@Maybe_Maybe_not
Walking into marriage with such a terrible, toxic, negative mindset is why so many people are lonely and bitter in this world. You won't ever have a successful marriage if you always are expecting the worst.

I’m not male-centered, my life doesn’t revolve around my ability to find a man, it’s why I’ve already been single for ten years - because I have more important things to worry about than who’s inside me tonight. If your priority is to get married as soon as possible so you can have kids before a certain time and be a mom or whatever it is you want to do, a vetting process won’t kill you or keep you from having that life, it just means it will be better than letting the fear of dying alone direct you to make decisions with the wrong person.
- 5 mo
@cupcakethedestroyer
Trust me, when you are old, frail, have health problems and cannot do anything for yourself, the last thing on your mind would be having a man inside of you.
You'd be more worried about if there would be anyone who would even show up to your funeral or If there would be anyone who would know you have died alone in your apartment. - 5 mo
Lmao girl, you know how many STDs get spread around nursing homes? Old folks still fuck like teenagers. I’m not worried

@cupcakethedestroyer
Nobody said anything about fucking. But all I'm saying is... being all alone lonely and neglected isn't all rainbows and roses. At some point in life, guys you want to date, won't be attracted to you. Getting married late in life, especially for women, requires a lot of luck.
You can do whatever you want but Just warning you about the consequences of your choices - 5 mo
My goal is not to get married, that seems to be the part you don’t understand. And threatening me with your fear of having no one to take care of you doesn’t work because I know for a fact the only people who die alone are the people who purposely isolate themselves. Say I get old and I go to a hospital and I’m on my last legs and I’m not conscious anymore, guess who would be there when my life support got cut off? A nurse, and probably their chaplain to give me last rites. They’re strangers, they don’t know me beyond what’s in my paperwork, but they’re human and they know the struggled of being human and the immense honor it is to help ferry someone to another plane of existence when their time on earth has come to an end. They will both be there for my last breath and know that I’m gone and I know this because I had a roommate who was in seminary school and had an internship chaplaining at the local hospital and she did that for a man alone, in a room, his family had refused to be present for taking him off life support and a nurse had asked her to give him last rites and honor his imminent passing. You don’t scare me, and you shouldn’t be scared either, if you don’t want to be alone then you won’t be because that’s just how humanity is. If we don’t want to be alone, then we will find other humans who don’t want to be alone and we’ll be humans together. A husband is not your only source of love and comfort because you have friends and family too, and I will absolutely die for that belief if I have to

@Maybe_Maybe_not
It says a lot about you when you have such low terrible expectations of marriage. No relationship will ever work out successfully for you If you have that kinda mindset - 5 mo
@cupcakethedestroyer
The chaplain doesn't give a single shit about you. Your roommates won't pay your rent once you get fired. Your nurse won't come in to care for you unless you pay her
I'm not trying to scare you... you are just scared about the realities of nobody giving a crap about you as you get older, unhealthier, more frail, more in need if help
If you are so scared about what I have told you, you can change your choices right now. Otherwise one day you will find yourself old, ugly, wrinkly, fat and nobody that you want would Want you
I can tell you are afraid... that's why you are so desperately trying to make it seem "not as bad" as it seems.

Vows CAN be broken. They aren't garuanteed to be broken. It all depends on your values and the values of the person you choose. Marriages based more on duty to each other tend to workout way better than marriages where everything is based off of feelings which is fickle. - 5 mo
@Maybe_Maybe_not
You can't have any chance at a caring marriage if you keep believing that things WILL be broken at a certain point. It takes a leap of faith based off good judgment to have a caring marriage. - 5 mo
@nastyb I didn’t insult you, don’t insult me. You want to live your life for the D, that’s your prerogative, but I know that moment of watching that man take his last breath will stay with my friend forever and I know that if I “die alone” in a hospital in a room I’m paying for by my own choice, it means I did everything I wanted to do, including die without children or a husband because that’s not the life that fits me.
- 5 mo
If anything, I’d rather a wife over a husband. Lesbians have it made

@cupcakethedestroyer
Oops. Just saw your first comment.
Like I said, you decide what to do with your life.
Just remember that the path you picked, has its own consequences.
Don't try to minimize those consequences and act like they don't exist.
If you can't deal with the consequences, don't blame me for it. - 5 mo
Don’t talk like you weren’t just shaming the shit out of me. You are fighting for your life in these comment sections as if you weren’t the one asking the question. Your way of life is great FOR YOU and no one else. I’m willing to bet the reason you struggle to respect the differences of a total stranger is the same reason you don’t have a husband and children now. The love and care you want is not guaranteed because of marriage, not from your spouse and not from your hypothetical children because all love is and should be conditional because they’re able to make their own choices as much as you are and they can choose not to have you in their lives. Take the last word, I’m fucking done.
- 5 mo
@cupcakethedestroyer
Well if it's not your husband and children loving you, then who will?
NO ONE.
Why are you acting as if you have plenty of people in this world who would pay you rent when you get fired? Why are you acting as if plenty of people will come running over to your house to care for you when you are sick?
What the hell is WRONG with you - 5 mo
@cupcakethedestroyer
You want stability and someone to care for you and love you, but you won't marry. You have little to no faith in marriage. You won't marry anyone unless they fit into your draconian high standards.
That's not how the world works
Your friends will always care for their family first over you. They will prioritize their kids, their sisters, mother over you.
