Im not a fan of the term settling since It infers there is such a thing as a perfect partner which I didn't that doesn't exist. It may exist as someone you want but that's still no guarantee it will work out the way you want. You still have to make compromises for each other.

If you mean in a more light hearted sense then if you aren't attracted to the person, that alone will cause issues.
