The most I can promise is that I will always seek to grow together with a partner. To love and respect them.

We did the whole "to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, forsaking all others, until death do us part".

Every promise in the text was, errr, tailored to circumstances as they arose. It's still the most amazing journey I've ever been on. I love my wife dearly, more than I ever knew what love was when I took those vows.

But, hey, we are separated. Make of that what you will.

I guarantee it would require a prenuptial agreement and if there is any disloyalty I would end the relationship. Also, if any of her friends tried to get with me, she would be required to end that friendship, or I would end our relationship. I don't tolerate people like that in my life.

I would be better quality, more desirable, and more capable than her in the long term, but she could see from my past that I am not at risk for cheating because I am very intolerant of others and have no interest in most people, even just as friends or acquaintances, let alone having romantic interest in them.

I don't think guarantees are realistic. You can guarantee to always be there for them, but what if they cheat, for example? Things happen in life. There are no guarantees in my opinion.
