If I'm the one going through childbirth, hard pregnancy while working a job, ripping my vagina to pop out a watermelon, doing most of the child care and housework WHILE HE doesn't HAVE TO. why am I still paying 50% of the bills? Nothing about pregnancy or birthing or breastfeeding is 50/50.
1 moThe man should pay all the households bills only if you're a housewife, a real devoted housewife, not like these fake shows of "the real housewives in orange county"... etc
If you're both working outside than you shall both split the bills in half and who earns more can pay more because they are simply earning more!
In the end, instead of nagging out here, talk to your husband so you can both find a solution that suits you both!

gain children
how would you have kids without the woman suffering to grow and birth it?- 1 mo
While you consider it suffering other women consider it a blessing, plus you're gaining kids too not only him!
Asker1 mo@tonymetal___86
It's less of a blessing for women. Thats why there are more women who don't want kids compared to men. Because it is women who make the sacrifices to have kids, not men- 1 mo
So, may i know what do you want in the end of this whole convo?

So you're asking for the man to pay more while you're still working?

the selfish loser men would absolutely love you. Have the woman do absolutely everything while he does nothing.
Anonymous(25-29)1 moWhen you marry, you marry your finances together and your both supposed to put equal effort into all areas of the marraige.
Sounds like you resent your husband for making less money than you.

Asker1 moI don't resent him for making less money. But on my opinion, I think a marriage should be 50/50
- 1 mo
Funny because you wouldn't believe it should be 50/50 if he was earning the higher wage. We know you likely don't like your husband earning less than you.

So you actually expected a woman making less money to make him more attractive?

Opinion Owner1 moIt is 50/50. You if you want him to make more money you should tell him
Asker1 moNothing about pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding is 50/50
Opinion Owner1 moWho looks after you when you are doing that? Pregancy and Childbirth is a choice as is breastfeeding
Asker1 mo@opinion owner
It's way easier to watch someone give birth than to actually give birth. Doesn't matter how many times u try to comfort her or feed her. She will always have it worse than you
Opinion Owner1 moIt was your choice and he supported you all the way. Your ungrateful attitude will cost you your marriage

I shouldn't do everything... that's why the man should step up
If I'm the one growing, carrying, birthing the kid... and I'm also the one paying most of the bills, I might as well be a single mom- 1 mo
I feel like if you're like 95% of some out there that don't like outearning their man, don't work. Raise your children.

That's why women hate men who can't support a family
Asker1 mo@Wodens_Apprentice
When you have a kid with a woman, just ask yourself... are u making her life easier? Are you doing your 50%?
If not, she will eventually realize she is just a married single mom- 1 mo
Then be a trad housewife, homeschool your children and let your husband do the work for you.
I can't support a family because I was raised in the shittiest part of the Yookay so not everyone who can't support a family is naturally a failure of a man. Some of us are just unlucky.
I wish I was born in a world where laws didn't exist cause then I'd have an army of concubines from all the mens skulls I've cracked. But being a 6'4'' violent autist isn't rewarded by our modern system which seeks to root me out of life and let me die 6 feet under alone.
My only real hope is to make YT videos and just hope people notice how glorious & intelligent I am.

I do make more than him and I honestly wish that more men can have ambition. Making money starts at a young age. Ambition starts at a young age. Not when you are 40, have kids to support- 1 mo
What's there to be ambitious for? The only reason to even work and become successful is to win over a girl & provide for your family. So you're sacrificing years of your life, kissing a bosses ass, paying taxes to a government that actively hates & wants to destroy you only do you can feel like you contributed? Not for me.
I do know women like providers. I think if you wanna be a man but not cattle you should perhaps start thinking of jobs that involve grifting or crime because this civilisation offered & gave us nothing yet you all expect us to give back to it. Women do not appreciate good character or ambition alone. I am a very ambitious person who has been starved of being able to do anything my entire life & it's driving me insane because of it. Also in the UK you're not even working for money really, just hoping that someone promotes you so you can earn more then you could not doing anything (because sometimes you're actually better off not working in this circus of a country).

Asker1 moits not even if you consider the pain of childbirth, breastfeeding late nights with no sleep, doing the bulk of childcare.
1 moThe problem isn't that you pay 50% of the bills but that he's not helping in the household. Talk and find an agreement. You're both adults.

I didn't say it is. I said you should talk to your partner and find an agreement with the household and the pregnancy. Complaining here doesn't change anything.
Asker1 moI'm not complaining. I'm just asking what u think about my already established arrangement

If your total living and operating expenses are a certain percentage of your income, then that percentage of both partners incomes should go towards the expenses.06 Reply

Anonymous(25-29)1 moIf you are both working, childcare and housework should be split evenly. If she makes more than me, I wouldn't care if she controled the finances. My maintenance cost is very low.

Ok. Well then you need to ask him to do more. My husband dosen't do much either and all he does is sit on his fat ass all day.
Asker1 moThe less my husband does, the less of the rent I pay. Soon I will get to keep all the money I earn and pay 0 bills
Asker1 moBegging a man to do more won't make him do more. If I'm working a job and doing all the child care, he is paying all the bills. And he should be afraid cuz our rent is expensive. Groceries expensive too.
If he won't pay for groceries, I won't be cooking or buying groceries for him either
