If you’re married, is it okay for your spouse to chat with strangers?

If I were married, I probably wouldn't find this situation normal. I guess I'm a cavewoman and I'm happy being that way.

I work for myself so I'm always talking to strangers I could be in a hardware store looking at something and the person next to me will ask me do you know anything about this what do you think is the best way to do this or that

It's just who I am
The other thing is is I'm a very confident person and when I am with somebody I believe in them as much as I believe in myself and if I can't trust them then I wouldn't be with them

And I know in my heart just because I'm chatting with somebody doesn't mean that I'm trying to pick up on them or that I would even go there because once I'm committed unloyal 100% And so I would have to look at my girlfriend the same way

You have to understand you cannot make anybody love you It's a 50 50 deal From start Until whenever And if you cannot trust that person Or if you are jealous or if you Have negative things running through your head if you see them Chatting with somebody It's just not going to work You have to find yourself and believe in yourself and understand That you can't make anybody love you If you're in a relationship and they cheat on you That's on them that's not on you you did nothing wrong And you need to be able to pick yourself up And walk out the door and not look back

That's one of the beautiful things about relationships is believing in your partner and not having to worry about anything because if something happens you have no control of it anyway they did it to themselves not you all they did to you is prove to you who they truly are then and you don't want to be with that type of person so like I said it's the 50/50 chance that it works as long as you do your part that's all you can do you can't live for that other person you can't make them choices they do that on their own and you can't be scared if you're scared there's no relationship you will always be in your own head your own heart

So you have to live life to the fullest it's okay to believe in people it's okay to believe in that person that you fall in love with and you cannot worry about anything until it happens and then you don't even have to worry about it you say goodbye you have your boundaries say goodbye say I gave you every inch of me every part of me and you took my heart and I'm walking out the door

But if it's constantly in your head is my partner cheating on me they're talking to that person what are they doing that's not life that's not a relationship that's not freedom that's holding you back in every way you can't be that way it will destroy you

It depends what they're talking about. Some people immediately flip out over casual small talk. And there are literally situations where it's impossible to NOT talk to strangers.

Especially if we travel, she might be curious about people's cultures and vice versa. I think if they're flirting/being flirted with it's bad, but flipping out over casual small talk is psychotic. The person must be very insecure

Nope, I’m with you. I don’t want him to get to know strangers and neither do I talk to new people, we’re both comfortable with that arrangement. As long as both of you are comfortable with whatever you agree upon (either way), then that’s what matters.

Depends on the situation, some marrages are an open relationship so they have sex with other people. So depends on how your partner views things like masturbating or sexting.

Some are fine with it some are not.
